September 2nd: College Colors Day
Oh, those ever so clever marketing types. What will they think of next? Well, apparently they're off to create a "new holiday": College Colors Day.
On September 2, 2005, The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the oldest and largest licensing representative in the nation, will introduce America to a new holiday, College Colors Day.
Despite the dripping with commercialism nature of this event, Fanblogs is all in. We'll be decked out in our college colors on September 2nd and downloading a flyer to spread the word.
And for those fans whose Indian mascot is being targeted by the NCAA, you'll be glad to know that the NCAA is still not above making a buck off the Indian mascots. Yeah, you can still stock up as Indian mascot items are still available at the NCAA's web store.
