Pitt Goes Retro (and even wins)
Ok, yeah, Pitt finally won a game. Sure, it was against I-AA Youngstown State, but desperate Panther fans will take it. Perhaps more noteworthy for the remainder of college football fans was the team's use of 1970s-era Pitt jerseys during the game. Chas at PittSportsBlather has the roundup, with the big news that the players want to keep wearing the uniforms. Sez Chas: "It feels less like nostalgia, and more like the right colors for Pitt." Of course, getting the win probably doesn't hurt that sentiment.
