Air Force drops pregame team prayer

After new policy guidelines that apply to the entire Air Force were promulgated this week, officials at the Air Force Academy have decided that a moment of silence would be more appropriate that a team prayer in the locker room prior to games.

The new policy was adopted after charges of religious discrimination againt non-Christians at the academy. Falcons coach Fisher DeBerry has had to remove a Christian poster from the lockerroom and has had his postgame prayers criticized.
