Boise State? Come on, Boise State? If they played the schedule Notre Dame or Texas play, for example, they would be lucky to win 5 games. Get them the f%&* out of there. Ditto for Fresneck State.

People kiss USC ass because they win, and I am not a USC fan. Is there something to keep these dimwits from leaving messages on here?

So, you're saying if John Kerry was president, USC wouldn't be ranked #1? This right-wing conspiracy is rooted much deeper than I thought...

How is it that Ohio State is ranked in the top ten every year. Last year for example and finishing with only seven wins I think it was. Do they have inside pressure on pollsters or do people just like to vote for the "big name" teams, Its about time a team like Iowa started to get more respect for whats done on the field on saturday.

As long as Tennessee's players can stay out of trouble(knock on wood) I beleive they are in for a stellar season. So hopefully we will get that Pac 10 - SEC showdown that shouldve happened 2 years ago.

Pac 10 vs. SEC should have happen the last 2 yrs. Choklahoma didn't deserve it either year. The big 12 is stronger so they won't make it to screw it up this year.

Is Texas Tech's Mike Leach interested in the UCLA job?

I find it interesting that UCLA fans have already fired their coach and we're not even to September.

G Maine- You are an idiot. USC a Republican school??? Explain how the Fat Slob Michael Moore played to a standing room only crowd on campus. Republican's in Los Angeles are an endangered species.

A republican school- try the puke Orange of Austin, with that fool of a coach.

This pre-season Top 25 ranking has as much merit as the idiot who gave a first place vote to Louisville.

OHio St & LSU above us and we thumped both of them last yr? HUMMMMM.......
What are the pollsters smoking. If not for giving the Mich.5 turnovers in Drew Tates worst game ever & NO running game we would have beat them too.

Wrong again, Dogman. Austin is as liberal as it gets in Texas. The real right-wing stronghold would be A&M.

I'm telling you The University of Alabama should be in the top 25. Wait and see what happens this season. Roll Tide!

Ohio State will prove it's ranking with it's tough schedule and talent filled lineup.

    Lance
Alabama will lose to South Carolina, Florida, UT, LSU, and Auburn. I don't think that qualifies as top 25. That schedule is brutal for injury prone Croyle.
If the dawgs can beat Tennessee, (very likely), they run the table.

Frankly I don't mind Bama not being in a preseason poll ... that will work itself out as the season progresses. I don't even mind preseason "predictions" like the one above from the "Dawg" . Georgia fans haven't exactly been known for the skills in clairvoyance but this particular Dawg must be getting long in the tooth if he honestly thinks all the teams he listed above will beat Alabama this year .

Other than South Carolina, it's a pretty safe bet that Bama loses to all the teams listed. I'd call South Carolina 50/50.

I can see why Iowa fans are frustrated, but I think the pollsters are looking at the way Ohio State finished. It's hard to see them faltering the way they drove through people at the end of the season. Barring injuries, they might even be playing SC for the title this year. I don't think Michigan should be rated ahead of Iowa though.
