Arkansas fans passing plate for anti-Nutt airplane banner
From EDSBS: Arkansas fans are passing the hat for a banner to fly over Arkansas games calling for Houston Nutt’s head....
... and they've collected enough to fly their first banner over this weekend's game against North Texas.
The first banner will read: PLAYERS & FANS DESERVE BETTER - FIRE NUTT! And it WILL FLY this weekend against N. Texas (Weather and wind permitting). Look for it between 1:45pm-2:30pm. They're giving us more flight time (45 minutes) because a local TV station is using the plane after 2:30pm.....
Once we have the funds in place, I will host a poll thread to determine what is on the banner for the coming game. There is a limit of 35 characters for the banner (spaces not included).
Future banners will be comical and use sayings like:
HEY NUTT: PASS THE BALL - NOT THE BUCK
THERE'S NUTTIN LIKE BEING 0-2 IN CONFERENCE
EXPERTS AGREE - THE WRONG COACH LEFT
PLEASE KEEP NUTT - SIGNED NICK SABAN
EVEN MSU BEAT AUBURN! ( If we lose to Auburn)
HEY FRANK! GOT A GOOD FIRING LEFT IN YOU?
1.2 MIL FOR A SUNBELT CHAMPIONSHIP?
Florida Gator fans would be proud.

Gatorhip #3--Hilarious! *** No, this is disgraceful. Although you know that the naysayers were just biding their time until the Hogs started losing again, this tactic is a little over the top. Flying a banner like that over the game where the coach and the team are trying to win--a true act of sedition!
Perhaps the university department of anti-aircraft artillery can shoot the plane down??

Terrible idea and way to get your point across. Nutt is a good coach, but there's not much you can do if the talent just does not want to go to that school. Not even if you're Nikki Saban. If they fire this guy the next one will either be just as good, or worste. They might as well put a lid on it and just support their team.

damn Arkansas fans straight up suck
they have no loyalty to a coach who has brought nothin but succes to their program
sure some players left because they are selfish and want to get more playing time(that doesn't really make much sense since they went to USC) and now their parents want his head
pure ludicris

I am a HOG fan and actual U of A graduate. I find this very tacky. I am not pleased with Nutt so far this year either, but this action just makes us look childish to the rest of the SEC and the country. IMO, an action like this will NOT bode well in the Heisman voting for McFadden.

I'm hardly in a position to throw stones as I've been advocating the firing of Chan Gailey since before this season started. On the other hand, I would not fly a banner like that over Bobby Dodd Stadium unless I really wanted the Yellow Jackets to lose the game in addition to the coach. These "No Nutt" fans need to cool it!

This is not funny and truley distasteful. So this is how the Hog fans reward a guy that has brought success to a program.True fans support their teams through good times and bad.Correct me if I'm wrong but didnt they win like 10 games last year and then went to a big bowl. The Hogs play in the SEC folks, and its early in the season.
If this what a coach that has brought success to a program gets then who would want to replace him given the unobtainable expectations of some demonistic fananatics.
#4 Wareagle If they tryed this kinda stunt in College Station with fire Fran,The plane probably would be shot down, even though Fran is under the same kind of pressure.

They flew like two or three planes like this over the Orange Bowl last year with Fire Larry Coker banners, but I was glad to see another plane flying a banner that said "Real Miami fans support Coach Coker."
You can't expect to win if you think the coach is bad enough to be fired, and it's really not very classy. Doesn't look to me like Nutt's been that bad anyway.
..It's great to be a Miami Hurricane..

Hey Tomcat and Cane Mutiny...these fans want a National Title or BCS Bowl! The way they are going about it I agree with you two it is wrong and distastefull. You guys updated me on the cost of going to see a college football and I would be restless if my team was not competing for a National Title each year. I know Arkansas is not going to be like Oklahoma, texas, Southern California, Florida, Ohio State, and so on.

Gatorhippy...fans gots to know it ain't about being "a good guy" or players' coach anymore , it's about winning the Upper Tier Bowls for cash and exposure. I am sure Houston Nutt is cool but 10+ wins and BCS Bowls is what the Razorbacks fans want, it's not what you and I want.

Gatorhippy in general most of these comments NOT yours are about how the Razorbacks fans are mean spirited towards ol' Houston Nutt. I am responding in general that the fans of that team want results. That is why I stated Gatorhippy...fans not Gatorhippy...you. The only time I am concern with Arkansas is when they beat texas.

Yes, he must go.........he could'nt even beat Wisconsin !!! a team from the weakest conference in college football.......and fire fulmer he could'nt even beat Penn state HAHAHAHAHAHA even Lloyd Carr can do that........9 in a row.
I now acknowledge that the Big Ten conference is the weakest conference in the nation........therefore any non-conference wins for the Big Ten are officially upsets.
Perhaps we will again someday be able to compete with the SEC, pac 10, and big 12........but for now.....all I can do is laugh at how incredibly bad we are.
GO ILLINOIS !!!!! WIN THE BIG 10 TITLE !!!!

If you don't support the hogs then don't go to the games! You are all posers who are trying to fit in with your gay frat lovers to see who can be the most hateful, coolest, fair-weather-fans. You treat these sporting events like it is some kind of social ball, and leave the stadium to try and beat the traffic.
You make me sick!!!Get your head out of your asses and leave it up to those who can actually do something about it.
We have a good team, a coaching staff, but we need 72,000 loyal fans in the stadium who support the team.So do yourself, the state, and ARKANSAS's players a favor by leaving this situation to TRUE FANS.
You should all be ashamed.

After seeing Houston Nutt flashing the upside down Hook Em Horns after the Hog's upset us in 03 i could care less what happens to him. Maybe he'll get fired from Arkansas and end up @ A&M it would be a pleasure kicking his butt on an annual basis.

Id rather be suspending my players then having my whole freaking team on ncaa probation all the time. Are there enough fingers on one hand to count how many times OU has been on ncaa probation? I think it's about time for the "death penalty" for them sorry boomer's.
