Baylor coach urinates on bar, resigns

Baylor assistant football coach Eric Schnupp was ticketed for disorderly conduct-reckless exposure for urinating on the bar at Scruffy Murphy’s Bar, according to Waco police.

Severe said an employee witnessed Schnupp urinating on the bar, and a manager told police, who were already at the bar for an unrelated matter.

"While we were kicking everybody out, he apparently thought that nobody was looking and whipped it out and (urinated) on the bar," Severe said. "He tried to deny it, but there was definitely a puddle and there was no one else around him."

For clarification - he was urinating on the bar... not on the building... on the bar... where people sit and "belly up"... on the bar.

I think it bears mentioning the combination of the words "Baylor" and "bar" in the same sentance are likely to cause some extreme rift in the cosmos. Add in the "urine" and... well, you're just asking for trouble.

Update 10/18/07

Offensive line coach Eric Schnupp has resigned his position at Baylor.

Oh, great!!! Another, “Guess who allegedly did what?” I’m almost surprised the story involving Joe Pa didn’t involve him allegedly swinging his tally-whacker.

Kev, let me know when the alleged part of this is replaced with fact. Then, and only them will I comment.

Hey he is only mimicking Baylor's effort on the football field this year. At least he didn't do #2 on the bar!

Anyone notice the pattern of 'assistant coaches behaving badly' threads on here lately?

"Zac - he got a ticket. What more do you want, bro?"

How about something a little more news-worthy, than some assistant coach relieving himself on a bar during a drunken stupor?

OK, I'm not a journalist. I don't know what "good" news is. But this stuff, the stuff with Joe Pa shaking his finger, cheerleaders on display......what can I tell ya? It's not my cup of tea. I don't know art, but I know what I like. There it is.

We're at mid-season. S FL is ranked 2nd in most polls. A lot of kids considered shoe-ins for the Heisman have faded, while others have gone to the fore-front. Michigan & USC, 2 pre-season arguable championship contenders were beaten by......NOBODY; not to mention some other upsets of note. If the existing Top 10 teams win out (not certain that can happen; didn't look), some are saying with 1 loss, LSU should get a ticket to the dance but WVU should not (for example). Some of us are still shouting for play-offs, and despite play review, some teams' fans are still crying foul (and that ain't no chicken joke). To me, my opinion, this is news worthy, not some TX version of "Yellow River". Just a thought.

Oh, in case you were wondering, I'm not mad at ya. I'm jutht upthet ith all, hmmm...

Zac - Those stories are already being talked about. Plus, I think there's enough room in the media for this story. It's news worthy in that it's funny and people will enjoy reading about it. Secondly, a college football coach pissed on a bar! IN a bar!

Did the bartender wipe it off with a smile on his face? If he did then Schnupp probably won a bet.

have any of you seen the show called "MANswers".....it's kinda like "the man show".....it's on spike tv...

well last night show gave us 5 uses for urine......
    (not in any particular order)
    1. could be used as an agent in gunpowder......
    2. back in the "old days" leather manufacturers used urine to help with the tanning process...
    3. it is used in make-up - urea is the ingredient....
    4. to clear an infection from a jellyfish sting.....yeah, someone has to piss on the area affected...
    5. to drink.....nasty huh...it is estimated that nearly 100,000people in asian countries drink it daily to keep heatlthy....yeah, try selling that idea to the fda.....

but, nowhere did they talk about it being used to clean up booze from a bar counter.....

    go gators...and hokies

Is this the first recorded case of a coach being dismissed from the team for failing a p!ss test?

Zac - It's fair feedback, but I think those other conversations are being discussed in multiple threads (except the Heisman, because I don't like the Heisman talk - although it does come up spontaneously by posters).

And, little Fanblogs has a reputation for pulling stories that AREN'T the lead on ESPN et al and bringing them to your attention.

Kev-In retrospect, I suppose this isn't any worse than Shannon and his player "Butt Buddies".

I noticed you shut down that one thread when a discussion broke out on genetics, environment, and anthropology, as it currently pertains to which football players are more gifted than others. Didn't Jimmy "The Greek" allude to that and get canned from, was it ESPN? I can't remember. Purely scientifically speaking, there is truth to the argument.

By the way, there is another use for Urine. When you cut down a blighted tree, you can piss on the stump to prevent any blight spores from working their way to other trees through the blighted tree's roots. Learned that one in the Boy Scouts. Just FYI.
