Mack Brown lobbying for votes
Mack Brown is working the phones. Texas SID John Bianco is spamming flooding voters with emails. The folks at Texas are pressing hard for voters to look at Texas over Cal. In last week's poll, only 6 voters out of 65 had the Longhorns ahead of the Bears. Brown & Bianco are taking a logical argument to the voters:
...it’s incongruous for a voter to rate Oklahoma over USC and then rate Cal over Texas. Likewise, he’s noted that it makes little sense for a voter to rank Utah between Texas and Cal — you either put Utah ahead of both (the Utes are undefeated, after all) or behind both (the Utes are from a weaker conference, after all).
That's a pretty sound argument and Texas will need some people to hear it. Longhorn fans should be proud that their SID is busting his hump for the team. That being said, you can bet that the folks in Berkeley aren't asleep at the wheel either.
Then again, you Longhorns might want to ask why none of the six AP voters in Texas have the 'Horns ahead of Cal. None.

That is crazy. You either vote Utah in front because they are undefeated, or behind both because they are in a weak conference (the toughest team they played this year was Texas A&M - give me a break!)
