Presbyterian joins Big South
The Presbyterian College Blue Hose have been announced as the tenth member of the Big South conference. PC is moving up to Division I status (including I-AA in football) over the next few years.
The Blue Hose will play a conference schedule in 2008 as their transition to D-I begins, but they won't be eligible for the Big South championship or the I-AA playoffs until 2011.
Presbyterian College is located in Clinton, South Carolina. Rumors in the Palmetto State also indicate that Big South member Coastal Carolina might be moving to the Southern Conference at some point in the future.

Thanks for placing the info on Presbyterian as I am previous player there and look forward to seeing the move up as it will benefit our program in many ways. Sorry some people have such a negative attitude concerning other peoples info seeking interest. Blue Hose Land

PC is going to get beat A LOT the first couple of years in D 1-AA. The Big South Conference ain't nothin compared to the rest of d 1-aa. It is a very weak conference. When PC finally plays some quality 1-aa teams it won't be pretty. I played for the citadel in the southern conference and we played some quality teams, so i guarantee any team in the southern conference will beat up on then. Plus my cousin played for PC and I just plain out think they suck. The stadium is way too small.

Exactly how many people give a damn about this move?
