Who gives what? A look at Bowl Game Gifts
Ask any player and he'll tell you that one of the best rewards for playing in a college football bowl game is the shwag.
Under NCAA rules, up to 125 school representatives (including players) may receive up to $500 worth of goods & services from the bowl games.
Via The Wizard of Odds, the good folks at Sports Business Journal have the rundown of what gifts the college football bowl games will be giving in 2008. Among the highlights:
- BCS Championship Game: Players will receive a $300 credit line at the Sony Store to buy any gadgets they choose, plus a Tourneau watch, a New Era game cap, Crocs, and an Ogio duffle bag.
- Sugar Bowl: Sony MP3 Walkman, Sony Blu-Ray player, Timely Watch Co. watch, and a New Era cap.
- Gator Bowl: Bulova watch, Jostens ring, Oakley Split Thump MP3 sunglasses, fitted cap, two-piece Mercury Luggage rolling duffel and sling bag
- New Mexico Bowl: RCA video camcorder, Oakley Holeshot Three-Hand watch, Oakley beanie, New Era cap, Ogio travel bag, Oakley backpack, and one-year ESPN The Magazine subscription
