Clemson scheduling TCU for 2009?

Word on the street is that Dabo Swinney's Clemson Tigers are in final discussions with the TCU Horned Frogs for a home game this season.

A contract has yet to be signed, but two sources said an announcement could come as early as Friday.

Central Michigan was listed as the Tigers’ Sept. 26 opponent when the ACC released schedules last week, but school officials have been searching for a replacement since before the 2008 season kicked off.

Clemson allowed Central Michigan to cancel the September 26th date, as long as the MAC provided a replacement game; however, at this late stage and with TCU still needing a dance partner, it looks like a Tigers-Frogs game in Death Valley is a near certainty.

Should be a good game - maybe even a chance for Gary Patterson to show CU what they missed out on.

Of course, this may also put a damper on those Florida - TCU rumors, as well.
