USF says no to former 'Nole McPherson

The Bulls are just one of the teams that Adrian McPherson wants to play for. The problem is that South Florida isn't interested in his services.

After being dismissed from FSU amid charges that he wagered on football and a no contest charge to theft, McPhereson originally enrolled at DI-AA Murray State. McPhereson has since withdrawn hoping to land at a D-I school.

There's no question that McPhereson has skills. He's an excellent field general and can play anywhere on the field. The problem for him is the four inches between his ears.

Don't be surprised if McPhereson's quest to catch on with a D-I school puts him at FAMU. They've got a high-powered offense that's very similar to the one he led at FSU. That being said, I guess McPhereson probably wants out of Tallahassee for good - so maybe FAMU's not such a safe bet after all.

Just an update to this story.

Tennessee State has turned down the McPherson. Looks like he's going to have searching for a D-IIA dance partner or pray to everything holy that a D-IA school is willing to role the dice.
