Marshall makes C-USA membership official

Marshall's Board of Governor's unanimously approved the university's decision to join Conference USA. Marshall will compete in all sports in a revamped Conference USA.

The conference has already received committments from Rice, SMU, and Tulsa so that it may re-align into two regional divisions. Once the conference realignment takes place, Conference USA will have twelve members playing in all sports.

C-USA will also maintain an informal alignment with Navy & Army that will schedule those two teams in football and give the academies a potential entry into the C-USA bowl agreements.

This is a great move for C-USA and will really solidify the conference as having several of the top mid-major football programs: TCU, Marhsall, Southern Miss, and (if they stick around) USF and/or Central Florida.
