How does TCU stack up against BCS? Not very well apparently
Quote today from Arizona Defensive coordinator Mike Deal on TCU stacking up against other BCS teams UA faced this year.
"You can't compare them talent-wise, or physically to an LSU (which beat Arizona 59-13), a USC (45-0), a Purdue (59-3) -- they're just not as good. Even in our own conference, they don't compare to Washington State (30-7), or Oregon (48-10), or Oregon State (52-23). ... But they have still won games."
But Sports Illustrated is continuing to make the case for TCU's appearance in a Bowl Championship Series Game.

It would be a tremendous blow to college football if TCU were to get into a BCS bowl. Thanks to Southern Miss for straightening that out. TCU is about as good as any MAC team, but not a top ten team.
Winning is good, but for a BCS consideration, you have to be good against the best. TCU is a nice story, but end of story.
I would rather see a 6-6 team who played the USC's, and Florida State's, and the Michigan's, rather than TCU Horndogs!

Of course, I think this is a moot discussion since USM will probably beat them tonight.
