Showdown at The Rock!
Tonight's game between TCU and Southern Mississippi is about more than the Horned Frogs' drive to get a BCS bowl bid.
Overlooked in all the hype and gushing over the boys in Purple are the Golden Eagles from Hattiesburg. The Eagles are sitting at 7-3 with their only losses coming to Cal, Nebraska and Alabama, and have a chnce to win their first league title since 1999. USM has alot to play for tonight.
The Eagles are on a roll lately outscoring USF and Houston 58-16. The Frogs struggled against the Bulls and Cougars, allowing Houston to roll up 55 points in route to a 62-55 win. And against South Florida, TCU won by 3.
Its going to be a great game, and another chance for the Frogs to show off on national TV. The only problem? USM is not Arizona. This is a good football team, and will give the Frogs their toughest test this season.
And that is why I've decided to going out on a limb and predict an "upset" tonight, Southern Miss will win to end all the talk about TCU as a BCS-caliber team.
