Petrino Staying at Louisville

To hear him say it, you can scratch Bobby Petrino's name off every coaching search. The Louisville head coach made it official that he is staying at Louisville and will not be interviewing for other positions, including Notre Dame and Washington. It looks like Petrino is going to get re-upped with a new contract that should keep his wallet fat for the next few years.

So, what about all those Ole Miss rumors? If you can believe an agent...

Petrino's agent, Russ Campbell, denied Tuesday making overtures to Ole Miss and said instead that a "reconnaissance team" from the school made repeated attempts to contact Petrino but that the coach had no dialogue with any other school.

"Absolutely, unequivocally, he did not pursue Ole Miss," Campbell said.

I believe Petrino has a better chance playing for the National Championchip if he stays at Louisville
B/c they will enter the crappy Big East and be favored to win the Big East for years to come.
