Tulane-USM re-scheduled for November 26

A release at SouthernMiss.com indicates that the game between Tulane and Southern Miss scheduled for Hattiesburg this Sunday has been postponed because of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The game has been re-scheduled for November 26 with a time to be announced. ESPN2 will air the game.

The Tulane team, along with its women's soccer team, rode 9.5 hours by bus to Jackson over the weekend to practice and they remain there at Jackson State University. The campus at JSU is now without power. As previously mentioned, the LSU-North Texas game has been postponed as well.

An article on South Carolina assistant John Thompson, who used to be at USM, states that the USM team was staying in a shelter sleeping on cots and they went 24 hours without food.
