The Sports Network Releases I-AA Top 25

The Sports Network released its NCAA Division I-AA Top 25 preseason poll this week. The Atlantic 10, Southern, and Gateway conferences are slated to do well with multiple teams near the top of the rankings. Here's the top 10 (click here for the entire poll):

1. Delaware
2. Southern Illinois
3. Montana
4. Wofford
5. Colgate
6. Northern Iowa
7. Furman
8. McNeese State
9. Villanova
10. Georgia Southern

We all know that preseason polls mean very little outside the realm of hype, but that is especially true when it comes to I-AA. Media coverage is spotty at best, and few teams receive the national exposure necessary to accurately size up these teams. That said, a repeat title for the Blue Hens is a solid choice at #1.
