ESPN GameDay rounds up Sooners-Cowboys
For the first time in GameDay history, the ESPN GameDay team is making their way to Stillwater, Oklahoma, home of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The whole gang will be there, Lee Corso, Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit, for their usual pre-game banter at 10:30 a.m. ET on ESPN, while kickoff will be at noon ET on ABC.
It should be an interesting face-off as both OSU’s and OU’s running backs, Vernand Morency and Adrian Peterson, respectively, have carried the ball over 1,000 yards this season. The Sooners hope to continue their perfect record this season (7-0), but OSU has other plans – they’re trying to make up for their one loss earlier this season to Texas A&M. It should be an ultra-close game, and Oklahoma should be well prepared because the No. 2 Sooners have lost to the Cowboys three times in the past four years. There’s a bit of a grudge there, to say the least.
Also, on Bus Driver Bobby’s weekly blog, Bobby has doffed his baseball cap and donned his detective hat to solve the mystery of the Washington State flag that has popped up at every GameDay game so far. Apparently, it’s sponsored by the Ol’ Crimson Booster Club and has been at every game for the past two years! On top of that, Bobby discovered that Elvis is a big GameDay fan. Think he’s joking? Check out the picture gallery on the GameDay site!
And Corso is still answering all your questions. In response to a question about who would be playing in the Big 12 Championship game, Corso replied with the exact same choice he had at the beginning of the season, “I said Missouri vs Oklahoma at the beginning of the year. The majority of the people don’t agree with me, but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. That was my pick before, and I’m not changing.”
