Championship Saturday

Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Rocket Ishmail, Jill Arrington and the rest of the ESPN College GameDay Built By The Home Depot staff are in Atlanta this weekend, doing their GameDay broadcast in advance of the SEC Championship game between No. 3 Auburn and No. 15 Tennessee.

The last time Auburn and Tennessee met, Auburn dominated the game, 34-10. This will actually be the third time GameDay has broadcast from the site of an Auburn game this season; not only were they featured for their October 2 match-up against Tennessee, but on November 13 against Georgia as well.

Do you know that, of all the GameDay analysts, only Lee Corso and Jill Arrington have their own websites?

You’ve still got one more week to send in a question for Corso. This week someone asked, "Lee, looking back at the season, what team has surprised you the most?"

Corso’s thoughts on the matter? "Auburn is one of them. I think nobody expected this. They were ranked 18th in the nation in preseason. They are now third. I think that’s the No. 1 team of all that’s surprised me. And surprised everybody else in the country. Most all of us thought that either Louisville or Utah would be the BCS buster. Everybody else that’s in the top five are the same guys that have always been there. They went from 18th in the preseason to three." He also weighs in on USC running up the score in last week’s game and this year’s Heisman race and looks ahead to the 2005 season.

Speaking of Corso, there’s still time to send a voicemail to your friends from Corso!

Or compare your predictions to Corso’s predictions (and win prizes) in the Scotts Perfect Picks contest – http://www.scottsperfectpicks.com/. They are giving out 175 prizes per week and you have the chance of winning such prizes as a $50 gift card to Home Depot!
