Well Geno and the defense is fired up about knocking Tebow down a peg or two but... it's wishful thinking IMO. Yeah, they completely shut Tebow down in his back up roll last year but he's the starter now and he's harder to defend.

    The problem is...

UF's defense can't stop anybody, especially their secondary. Unfortunately, FSU's offense tends to stop itself.

FSU's secondary is weak but UF's WRs are great.

I don't know what the score will be but I'm guessing...

UF wins by 17 in the Swamp.

The only question is our game is whether or not Clemson shows up. If the game is close, I don't think we win.

You know, I've always wanted to attend a BYU/Utah game. I love the area and I always thought it'd be fun to go to a game where half of the fans are wasted, and the other half are sober and judging. I guess I'd have to wear red to that one.

1st and nole.....even though fsu is going through some growing pains...this should still be a good game to watch...in our games against auburn and lsu...i thought our defense played well but it was our offense that seemed to sputter a bit...but in the goergia game...our defense got abused.....so i expect charlie strong to be ready for fsu....

tebow is a freak of nature...i have never seen anything like him....and am glad he is on our team.....i could see him putting up big numbers on your defense...but you never know...this year has been pretty wacky in coll. football.....so even though the cards are stacked against you guys......i think it will be a good game......just because

its THE GATORS vs THE SEMINOLES....nuff said......both teams will be up for it.....

i wonder if bobby will let his team rush the field after the first score.......oh, wait...bobby has too much class for a stunt like that...

    jmho...

#2) I have been to the BYU Utah game a few times and it is tremendous. Utah does win the tailgate party every year, but no alchohol is allowed in the stadium, and the rule is enforced.

Church vs State, Pious vs SLC Punk, this rivalry has roots to core underlying societal strains of the state of Utah.

For those not familiar with Utah, picture every bias and preconsived notion of Utah you have. imagine how a society like that might be like.

Odds are you just pictured Wyoming. Utah is completely different. Your idea of Boise, despite its bieng in Idaho, is probably closer to what Utah is like.

    BCS Implications:
A BYU loss might give teh Boise State Hawaii winner a point or two in the computer rankings they would not have had, for a .0033 increase in their BCS rating.

9-3. This is the record of the away team in this series over the last 12 meetings of these 2 teams. I like Utah on the road this year. Ok, I like Utah every year.

Unless BYU losses both this week and next week to SDSU they will win the MWC and a trip to the Las Vegas Bowl. If BYU loses both these games the Las Vegas Bowl will select from Utah, BYU and Air Force. I Like Utah's odds of a Las Vegas Bowl in that case. Whichever of BYU and Utah does not go to the Las Vegas Bowl looks like a lock on the Pointsetta Bowl.

A win this week and a Pointsetta Bowl victory would be a great end for a Utah team that struggled with injuries at the start of the year.

While I appreciate all the talk about collage football champs when are football fans going to wake up and figure out they now have the ability to force the d-1A college presidents to create a playoff system. The solution is to stop or at least affect the flow of bowl money into the universities and you'll get a playoff system. Support your teams just form a boycott against any corporation or major sponsor of a BCS bowl. This includes major TV sponsors as well.

A boycott is a way for individuals to influence policy, it is as American as apple pie and the internet makes it possible to energize millions of participants.

Once corp America is aware that their support of BCS bowl will effect their business in a negative way and the dollars begin to dry up you'll have a playoff system in place immediately.

The current group of sponsors are: Allstate, Tostitos, Fed Ex and Citi Bank, Follow your local TV listing for more.

Fans can make a difference, let's see if this spark becomes and inferno, spread the word.

Yes, corporate greed controls all things in America today. It's a sad state for our beloved game. I sure hope that nobody still thinks that "The President of the Unites States" has anything to say about anything either. But, I notice that everybody still wants to "Blame Bush". Blame BIG MONEY!

    Check it out, Upset Special:

    Miami 24, Boston College 17.

I don't know why, since this Miami team is beyond pathetic, but I've got this feeling the Canes can make it 16 straight against BC.

    Arizona State over USC
    Virginia Tech over Virginia
    Kentucky over Tennessee
    Georgia over Georgia Tech
    Missouri over Kansas
    South Carolina over Clemson
UCLA over Oregon (it's a damn shame that they can't win without DD)
    West Virginia over UConn
Auburn over Alabama (in Nick Saban's Pearl Harbor Bowl)
Florida State over Florida (always pull for the Noles over the Gators)

It's great to be a Miami Hurricane!! Even if beating B.C. is an upset...

I gotta speculate that you guys must all be huge studs. Who else would just dangle it out there for God and all the world to see, after a season like this one? I posted here pre-season that the pre-season top 25 polls were a joke, and that half of the teams on them would not be listed, end of season. I have not bothered to check, but I suspect my prediction is more accurate than any I just read. Happy Thanksgiving Day to all and I wish all of our teams could win. Since that is not going to happen. I'll settle for all you Shooting a little positive energy towards all men's personal favorites, their Cocks. That's right, you will all be honorary Cocks tomorrow night, ESPN. If you all Work it correctly, and involve your spouses, nine months from tomorrow, you can welcome your new sons. Just a suggestion on a name for the new lads, George or Rogers will do nicely.

    Georgia over Georgia Tech
    - Georgia is the hottest team in College Football right now hands down. However, they need to be careful not to simply look past a Georgia Tech team who's whole season has been built towards this game.

    USC over Arizona St
    - Arizona State isn't nearly as good as their ranking, USC is definitely still a top 5 team, though their season has been disappointing.

    South Carolina over Clemson
    - S. Carolina has been in a tailspin, but they play SEC ball, and Clemson plays ACC. Whole nother ballgame.

    UCLA over Oregon
    - See the Arizona v. Oregona game? Dixon IS Oregon. Now that Dixon's gone, Oregon is too. Will be close, but UCLA should pull it out.

    Hawaii over Boise St
    - Depending on Colt Brennan's health.

    LSU over Arkansas
    - I'm tempted to go for the Arkansas upset, but McFadden isn't himself lately.

    Colorado over Nebraska
    - Nebraska is a failing program. Colorado isn't much better, but a little bit still.

    Miss St over Miss
    - Miss St has really turned its program around, and Ole Miss is...Ole Miss.

    Texas over Texas A&M
    - Texas has had an off season, but that's plenty to beat a pathetic Texas A&M team (when you lose to Miami...)

    Missouri over Kansas
    - Neither are very tested, and both are incredibly overrated. But Kansas is the lesser of the two, and Mizz has a fantastic QB

    Alabama over Auburn
    - Pay attention to this game. Alabama is still a quality football program, and will be more pumped than ever to shut the rumors up and take down the Tigers.

    Virginia Tech over Virginia
    - No doubt about this one. Virginia will be knocked out for sure.

    Kentucky over Tennessee
    - Unsure about this one, but Tennessee isn't very impressive. They're only really quality win was over a Georgia team that played with no spirit and definitely isn't the red hot force they are now. Kentucky has been in a spiral lately sure, but I expect Andre Woodson to come to play, and Ainge to flop.

    West Virginia over Connecticut
    - West Virginia keeps getting all this hype, but for no reason whatsoever (see schedule). But I still see them takin down a Connecticut team that's lost all will to play.

    Oklahoma State over Oklahoma
    - Tad risky to call this one like this, but OSU is a quality football program that truly hates Oklahoma. That, plus the fact that Oklahoma doesn't even see them as a threat gives them nothing to lose.

    FSU over Florida
    - Getting into some deep territory here. It's either gonna be a blowout by Florida or a close win by FSU. The swamp is one intimidating place to play, but FSU has become a much better football program throughout the year. and I think their aggressive defense will hit Tebow and the Gators very hard, something that Florida has folded under throughout the year (see UGA, LSU, AU games).

    Stanford over Notre Dame
    - Stanford is a school that has shown they can play. Notre Dame is a school that shows they can disappoint.

it's funny that you say WV is overrated when we stomped your dogs with 2 players named white and slaton in the Sugar(in your backyard pretty much too)

they are still playing today and nothing has really changed with our results the last 3 seasons

if WVU gets some help and plays in the NC against most likely LSU it'll be a close game for 4 entire quarters and extremely exciting(not like the 07, 05, and 04 national title games)

if we don't finish second at the end of the regular season and we go to anoither BCS game, its still a great bowl and there's always next year

    randawg91 (#17):

"something that Florida has folded under throughout the year (see UGA, LSU, AU games)"...

    I beg to differ...

Tebow's numbers in those three games...

AUB: 276 total yards, 2 TDs
LSU: 225 total yards, 3 TDs
UGA: 221 total yards, 3 TDs
TOTAL: 722 total yards, 8 TDs

Tebow's offensive output in all three of those games was adequate and had the Gators in position to win all three of those games...

The failboat in all thee losses this season was the UF defenses inability to stop the opposing offense late...

The defense folding late has been the problem all season...

    THE DYNASTY IS OVER:

The short-lived Arizona State dynasty is finally over. After threatening to land on top of the PAC-10 standings - that dream has been crushed out completely!
The vaunted ASU rushing attack was held to 16 total yards on 35 carries against a brick wall (otherwise known as the Trojan front seven). Other than the refs giving Arizona State the customery free touchdown (in every USC game), and the Trojans handing them two themselves, Arizona State may not have ever scored even one TD. Total domination was the theme off the day as USC outgained ASU 509 to 258 total yards. So, Arizona State's pipe dream of playing for a National Championship has humbly come to an end, falling under the swords of the mighty Trojan gladiators. ALL HAIL!

Tommie: I think you have to make it through at least one season to call it a dynasty, right?

They would have scored that kickoff return for sure. That was an exciting play. Hey man, suit up Bueller for free safety when he's not kicking. I can't believe he ran down that return man. Too bad he can't tackle worth a darn--of course another man had a chance there, too.

You know, I just can't help but like the announcing trio of Fowler, James, and Flutie. They sure seem like they're having a ball doing these Thursday night games.

Don't know if your being facetious or not. That kicker was recruited as a safety and played there last year. He's only kicking because Danelo passed away and Van Blarcom was kicked out of school. I guess we needed to have the fastest kicker in the country - what with having kick coverage that is that atrocious.

I was being facetious, Tommie, but I had no idea Bueller really was a safety. I was just remarking how fast the guy was. Usually when it comes down to a kicker trying to tackle a returner, the returner pulls away from him like a frieght train leaving a station. But not this guy. You just don't see that ever...

@ 35 i don't see Oklahoma State over OU. Even OU's 3rd string QB would have a big day on a defense that gives up over 400 yards a game. Add that to the fact that they are playing in Norman.

I think I had taken Nebraska to beat the 5.5 on Colorado today. Something very strange is now happening over there in Lincoln. The Huskers are really starting to light up the scoreboard. I don't know if Callahan and Osborne have had a "meeting of the minds" - or what. But, the Huskers are really starting to roll on offense. Looks like they're running better and passing better. Could just be that Ganz was the better QB all along. It'll be interesting to see if Callahan is really let go or not. What if the Huskers play in and win a bowl game? It would be quite a comeback.

they are still playing today and nothing has really changed with our results the last 3 seasons

if WVU gets some help and plays in the NC against most likely LSU it'll be a close game for 4 entire quarters and extremely exciting(not like the 07, 05, and 04 national title games)

if we don't finish second at the end of the regular season and we go to anoither BCS game, its still a great bowl and there's always next year"

haha mate, you're makin yourself look pretty foolish here. you had a huge lead on us, and we almost made a comeback from the largest deficit in college bowl game history, only losing by 3 points in the end. btw, we had a mediocre qb and no talented backs with a last-minute put together o-line. if WV played GA today, there's no doubt any anyone's mind who would win that game.

LSU's defense and especially Glenn Dorsey have been overrated all year. You bascially dominate MSU and VT (who in the beginning of the year were offensively challenged) and they want to crown the defense. Who has LSU defense just flat out dominated other than those 2 teams all year. The offense has bailed them out again and again and had to have luck to do that.
And what has Glenn Dorsey done other than hobble around hurt most of the year.
Whoever thought Dorsey should of been in the heisman race even before this lost is stupid as hell.

    Dear Mack Brown,

Texas football is mediocre this year. It was Alamo Bowl mediocre last year.

Your defensive coordinator(s) just got slaughtered by a pedestrian Aggie offense.

Your offensive coordinator proved his critics right with another dud. Also against a pedestrian Aggie unit.

Losses to OU and A&M in the same season. Two in a row to the Aggies; six of eight to OU.

I said before the game that this was an important one. If you didn't believe me, just wait 'til you hear some of the things this fanbase is going to have to say about this loss. And about this season.

Frankly, the status quo rather sucks. Whether or not you get that 10th win your obsessed with.

I am Crimson and Cream True BUT the Maroon and White is alright with me tonight! The best game the aggies played all year! I just wished they would have hung half a "hunred" on Texas!

On more than one occasion I have posted that LSU should not overlook Arkansas or as Crazy Less Miles calls them, R Kansas. Until today LSU has not faced a tandem backfield like McFadden and Jones. Now they have.

If LSU wants to claim that nc they need to stop expecting to win with some miracle play in the closing minutes and start actually beating other teams.

First and foremost Less Miles need to get control of this bunch of homeboys and enforce some discipline.

They have more talent than any other team in America but seem to have lost the ability to pull together and actually win a game outright. Sooner or later the clock will strike midnight again like it did in Kentucky.

TE - I congratulated LSU when they beat Bama. Since game day I have not talked any trash about your beloved Tigers. I haven't spoken an unkind word about them. I made one simple observation and you accuse me of hating. YOU are the one who gets in everyone’s face.

Why is it that if anyone even makes an observation about your team, you come back with some sort of smart ass remark? LSU IS NOT PERFECT. They are making mistakes just as every other team in college football does.
Buddy you need to deal with this problem that you have. If anyone fails to sing the praises of LSU, you come after them every damn time.

You're a nutcase. Everyone on this forum can exchange ideas and thoughts about every other team BUT if they speak of LSU they had better be bragging every time. IT ISN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.
Pray that LSU wins every game between now and the nc game. If they slip at all, I will be on your case like ugly on an ape. Count on it!

Sorry, Bama fans...but 4 million a year bought you a coach with no conscience, no loyalty, and less on the field results than Les Miles...

After this year, Miles will have just as many ADT Waterford Crystal Trophies as Saban, as well...

Hate on, college football...but, just remember...

I don't have a problem with the fact that you beat us. YES, YOU ARE THE BETTER TEAM. What I have a problem with is you thinking that LSU is the greatest thing since sliced bread. You have a loss. Auburn, Florida and Alabama almost beat you. That my ignorant friend is NOT the way a top caliber team plays. The clock will strike midnight if you keep it up. If LSU doesn't start winning games in the 2nd and 3rd quarters instead of hanging on at the end that shut up juice is going to taste awfully bitter.

There is no drink so bitter as shut up juice.

Lennie and OU-Ron, first of all, no excuses from me. That was flat-out bad defense. We couldn't put together good drives on offense when we needed them. If we can't beat them when they are 6-5 then we don't deserve to go to the Big XII Championship or the BCS. OU-Ron, I am still worried about Bradford because if he is put in and it's too soon then he could end a bright future. If he takes a hit he is more likely to reinjure himself than someone who isn't already hurt (your question on #39). You guys will get stomped in the Big XII championship game, so it's just another chance for you to get a loss. We'll see who's laughing at the end of the year when you guys have a 4 game losing streak. Hook'em Horns (and for the Nat. Title) Rock Chalk Jayhawk.

#89 Good take on LSU. An Arkansas team that wasn't even very good this year exposed them for what they are, just an average SEC team with way too much hype.

All year long they have lived on a wing and a prayer. Today Mike the Tiger was pimp slapped by a hog.

    No crystal trophy for Miles.

Wasnt too surprised by the Arkansas win, however i was surprised a bit by the score.

So all the SEC haters get there wish we wont get a NC this year but i do believe we will once again rule in the bowl games.

The parity of the SEC is just the future for the entire Division one of college football in my opinion.

If you pay attention to the top high school recruiting classes over the last few years you would find that the SEC has had several years of several teams with top ten recruiting classes.

That combinded with the best coaching (overall the most national title winning coaches)then that makes it tough for one team to dominate but makes for some great football games.

I never have been a fan of the way a national champion is crowned and i hope that this will be one step closer to a playoff system.
Perhaps if two teams with very low TV ratings were to get in that might change something since it does seem to be driving by the all mighty dollar.

    This was a team loss...
It started with getting great field position on offense and getting the first of some absolutely unbelievable playcalling. Simply no excuse for kicking two early field goals, other than this team was not focused, and we acted as if we forgot we had running plays, other than an interior draw out of the shotgun.

Matt-like the offense-played its single, worst half of football all year. What makes it so bad is that he didn't have any turnovers (until the 2 point try), and as an offense, we didn't have too many penalties (other than the one that cost us 7 in the 2nd half, argh!).

What that means is that we have nothing to blame that first half egg on other than the staff and Flynn. From my seats in the SEZ, I watched #9 read Matt's eyes, all night long. Where they were coming off the line at the snap, with few exceptions, the ball was sure to follow.

Except that you can blame the offensive line, as well. This line has simply not given Matt the protection he needs to go through his progressions. Some of us who are complaining about Matt's performances need to go back and see just how little time Matt has to make even his initial read before he has to start worrying about the pass rush.

I'm also astounded as to why-in crucial situations-the coaching staff runs towards Carnell Stewart. In one especially galling moment, I watched a running back attempt to hit the hole, only to see Carnell on his knees in it, crying over having his lunch money taken yet again. Perhaps this is an over the top case of player bashing...Perhaps I'm just venting. Perhaps I'll apologize tomorrow.

Tonight, he was just another brick in the wall that got built between us and a shot at a national title in our own damn backyard.

The wide receivers dropped some, but tonight, the blame on the passing woes goes squarely on Matt, and the situations Crowton forced him into.

2nd and more than 15 in the 1st half, and we drun a draw? To Carnell Stewart's side of the damn line? What kind of a Jim Mora Saints Special is that?

Is ANYONE in the stadium still unsure as to whether we'll throw the ball out of Pistol formation? If every single person that surrounds me calls option out of the pistol, it's a good bet that someone in Fayettville this week noticed it while watching film, too.

When you've got a quarterback struggling, and backed up with 2nd & greater than 10, then running a draw to the weakest side of your line isn't setting him up for 3rd down success.

Also...Matt's simply holding onto the ball too long. He waits for guys to get "too open". This isn't from the pressure. It's just a nagging bad habit, and one that should have been corrected by this point in the season. His position coach should have done this. I don't have to tell you who his coach is.

Lastly, on offense, I'll end the scorched-if bitter and probably over the top-earth routine with this:

Why are you running the option with Jacob Hester? Why is Keiland Williams getting 10 touches a game? Did anyone see him play? Forget him...What the hell is Porter thinking giving Charles Scott what...TWO touches?

It's like having five Ferrari's, and driving the same one, every day...

Okay, let me get off the offense, here...

    Defense, defense, defense...

Bo Pelini has seen this damn conference enough to know that you could field the 2000 Baltimore Ravens defense, and running a primary four man base rush package is going to get you gashed, eventually. This guy is stubborn. He doesn't realize that people have figured him out. We have seen plenty of excuses (Kentucky rolled away from the pressure. Ole Miss had a mobile quarterback), but you simply cannot get away with any explanation other than a stubborn, arrogant approach to playcalling and personnel decisions for not blitzing that sorry excuse for a quarterback.

How this kid pulled off a poor man's Joe Montana against us is beyond me. Yeah, I get it. With McFadden back there, you can't send a man. But, that 4th and 10 in overtime is in-ex-freaking-cusable, my friends...

You KNEW it would come down to Dick to make a play...You KNEW they needed 10 yards...and we rush...4 guys...The same four guys who haven't gotten consistent pressure in the 2nd half of the year...and what happens?

The plan works to a T.

Houston to quarterback: Whoever #44 covers, just stick with 'em. They'll get open, somehow.

McCray needs to get admitted to the burn unit at the General Mid-City after a season in which he was continually and brutally, almost ruthlessly picked on by opposing offensive coordinators. I feel sorry for the kid, because Pelini keeps trotting him out there, knowing he's vulnerable, and won't do ANYTHING to give him some help.

But, forget about his channeling of Demetrius "Hookfear" Hookfin, circa 1999...Why the HELL are we not bringing the damn house, plus FIOG, and some leftovers from his kitchen on 4th and 10 when they HAVE to get a play out of a sorry quarterback?

I'd have to ask Mr. Pelini...

I feel sorry for Ali Highsmith, who gave up that late touchdown in OT to Hillis, because he stepped up multiple times in the 2nd half, filled the hole, and met McFadden, standing him up and making plays...That taste that will be left in his mouth is a terrible thing to ponder...

We had a national title in our hands, and while some of our players didn't show up, our coaches mailed this one in today...

A lack of anything resembling coherent-much less creative-playcalling on the offensive side of the ball...

A defensive coordinator who thinks rushing a banged up, tired front four is somehow magically going to beat max pro schemes or simple crucial third down situations...

This one's got plenty of blame to go around...Plenty...

Someone hold this damn soap box steady while I get down off of it...

Oh, and Sweet Home, yack yack yack...Get in your shots. I'm man enough to come back here and take them, that's for sure.

If tonight's midnight for LSU, then I guess that means that it's around noon the next day for you guys...41-34, 17-12, 21-14...

Why is it that you can't see that I'm totally okay with Big Tide and Rammer Jammer, and everyone else here...Hell, even G-Hipster and I went back and forth on game week...You're the ONLY guy who can't just move on and continue the discourse here...

In a way, I'm almost glad, if for no other reason than it's probably the closest you've come to an orgasm since we started your three game nosedive. The chance to get the big, bad TE back for all of his hurtful, harmful words, and all of his pre-eminent pontifications...

It's almost like now-with your team in such a huge death sprial-you can only achieve happiness with the unhappiness of others...

Sucks for you...We'll have to console ourselves and get back into shape for a shot at the SEC Title, a BCS Bowl, and picking up your slack in bowl payout money for this summer in the SEC Meetings in Destin...You're welcome for your cut of the check we're bringing home to the conference...

I apologize to everyone for having to spoon feed little SHA, here...He just can't get off my stick. It's a little tedious, I know, but forgive me...

TE can never just deal with the present and his team. He always feels the need to drag up past victories in order to cover up for his embarassment.

Any way that you spell it LSU WILL NOT BE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Less Miles will leave LSU without his crystal trophy.

All season you have been telling us how LSU would win the nc this year. Turns out that they are just average. Twice they have been at number 1 and could not hold on to it.

A better coach could have taken that trainload of talent and gone undefeated.

Speaking of coaches, can't believe that you are already talking about your coaching staff. Just remember, you LOVE Less Miles so don't say ANYTHING bad about him.

Good luck NEXT year and work on those two point conversions.

    Could've sworn I didn't...I think I singled out Pelini & Crowton...

Pelini has the defense all to himself. If you would've watched any LSU games or attended any other than the one in your stadium, you'd know that Pelini has broad autonomy in the running of it, and thus shares the lion's share of the blame.

As for Crowton, it is what is is. What it was.

That explanation should be PERFECT for you, eh?

Oh, and T-Mac...6-5 teams shouldn't throw stones, especially 6-5 teams that got EDUCATED at home by our squad...

Oh, and SHA...Tell me exactly what a 6-5 Alabama team is if our 10-2 Division winning squad is "average"...LOL!

How can any SEC fan be surprised that we dont have any one loss teams?

LSU is prehaps the best team in the SEC however i believe the best team is Georgia. And LSU will probably escape without having to play them.

I have said all year that i thought the SEC would be won by a two loss team. Looks like thats a real possibility now.

LSU has escaped loss too many times this year i never felt they were the best team in the country.
Would have liked to see them get a chance though since they were the SEC only chance.
I still feel OSU is best team this year. West Virgina is a good team too. Guess that game may still happen. Since im still not a kansas believer.
Feel like they will lose to Missouri and Missouri will lose to oklahoma. Who knows should be clearer after this weekend.
