Auburn just beat Georgia less than a month ago, in Athens, and yet half the voters have Georgia ahead of them. This isn't quite as ridiculous as Frank Solich having Alabama ahead of Auburn in his coaches' poll ballot, but still questionable.

If memory serves me correctly, FSU beat Miami, Virgnia Tech and Boston College, three very good ACC teams. Only one of those was a home game. They aren't as bad a team as many people think.

Yes recruiting some of the best talent in the nation you would have expected more from FSU but they are definatly a better team then WVU, BC and VT. Probably others as well such as ND but BC lost to FSU and VT who FSU beat, WVU are big east chumps who lost to VT, and VT lost FSU and to Miami who FSU beat. So I think it's pretty fair to say those three.

Mike Boone:
FSU beat 3 very good ACC teams, but what did they do outside the ACC? They lost to Florida, and their other games were against 2 - 9 Syracuse and I - AA Citadel! If the SEC were being represented by an imploding 8 - 4 team that had lost 3 in a row to the likes of 6 - 5 NCSU, 6 - 5 UVA, and Clemson, we'd hear nothing but how it was a "down year" for the "always overrated" SEC! But I suppose we have to keep this "ACC superconference" fraud going until it actually becomes true, about the same time that it becomes true for the PAC - 10, where the worst rushing defense in I - A can lose 52 - 17 to a 3 win team and then get blown out 66 - 19 within three weeks and still win 9 games!

Mike, your right about that! Those were three very good ACC teams, but being very good in the ACC didn't turn out to be that tough after all. Nice champion! 8-4 , are you kidding me? Look who they beat, the TOP 3 OVERATED TEAMS of the NCAA. Not 1 of those teams lived up to what everyone said about them all year long, so now that we have seen them for what they are, you still want us to fall for this bull? The ACC once again proved that they SUCK!

I think what I'm hearing is that alot of folks think the ACC is a weak conference because an 8-4 team won the conference title, which is understandable. Of course, then you have too look at the other teams that they beat in-conference. Miami and Virginia Tech were the top two defenses in the country and whether they were overrated or not they were darn good teams. I'm hesitant to point fingers, but if anyone is overrated it has to be Notre Dame. They are getting alot of national notice for one close game that they lost.

Why is Georgia ahead of Auburn? Ill tell you why! They won the SEC Championship!! What is so hard to understand about that. Auburn only won by one point and it was a great game but they obviously didnt have the quality wins to get to the championship. Georgia's only lost by a total of 5 points in two games. No other team in the nation with the same record is notable of being anything close to that.

I'm at a loss as to how TCU can go down in the rankings simply by not playing. Anyway, I think the Frogs are better than Louisville. I'm not sure about last week's FSU or Michigan any day, though, but I'd sure like to think they could hold their own.
FSU's win over Virginia Tech was hilarious. I love when the BCS predictions get thrown out the window. What's even more hilarious is that "Teams are ranked on likelihood to beat lower ranked teams on a neutral field, rather than a forecast of final season rankings." FSU beat VT on a neutral field (unless any stadium in Florida is not considered neutral), and yet, is ranked one spot below them.

Why would any of you say that Notre Dame is overrated? Have any of you watched their offense this season? Did you watch the Michigan game? USC? Stanford comeback? There is not a team in the land that would like to play Notre Dame...and that includes USC AND Texas. We lost two games, both on the last play of the game. Oregon lost on the last play of the second quarter and proceeded to get romped by 5 touchdowns. But I can understand how you PAC 10 fans would think they deserve to be 5th...even though they would lose to 90% of the teams in the Top 20.
The Irish aren't overrated. They, in fact, should be 5th.
Go Sooners!!!

Where's colorado at in the poll? Oh, I forgot, this isn't a 1-AA or Division II poll. Funny, even the Chadron State fans are on buff message boards giving the buff fans the business about wanting a game with cu. Probably would beat them, too.
