Meyer taking advantage of a Tennessee Leak?

A report in today's Orlando Sentinel indicates that new Florida head ball coach Urban Meyer might be using less-than-ethical means to acquire information on his next opponent. He has an employee with a little more insider information on the Tennessee offense than just the average office aid. Seems that Urban maybe a little worried about whatever Tennessee and Phil Fulmer might have in store for his Gators on Saturday, and is looking for a little help. Interestingly enough, this note precedes one about an official having to be rescheduled off of the Florida-Tennessee game crew because of death threats from Gator fans. Sounds like they're running a class operation in down in Gainesville these days.

    Hey guys,

All the new Leak controversy will simply further motivate the Vols to play well in the Swamp. No love lost for the Leak family in K-Town.

As for side judge Bobby Moreau, you gotta feel for this guy. The Gainseville Sun reported that Dallas Baker is STILL obsessing about last year's "Bad Call!" Even Urban Meyer is concerned about his players' lack of focus.

It wouldn't surprise me to see some of the Gators' loonies travel to Nashville just to harass Moreau. I guess Miami no longer has all the bad boys in Florida.

    Go Vols!

Honestly, if CJ Leak had enough sense to grasp any of our offense he would have played while in Knoxville. He couldn't learn shit when he was here so how is he going to pass the offense on to UF? The way I hear it he couldn't even grasp the hand signals from the sideline...Jim Bob can do that, but Jim Bob, despite the name is a very intelligent guy. Sounds alot like Ron Zook several years ago, which really got the rivalry with UF going in the first place.

That is funny that someone from Tennessee would question whether the Gators are running a class operation. How classy are the Vols with double-digit arrests in the offseason? Fulmer running quite a tight ship up there. On the other hand, Gators = zero offseason incidents.

Just because a few idiot fans took last year's game too far doesn't mean that the entire program is classless. I'm sure you had your fair share of idiot fans after Gaffney's "catch" in Knoxville in 2000. It was a strange play and the Gators felt screwed, some took it too far.

And as for the Leak deal, do you actually think that will have any bearing on the game at all? Please. As you said, he couldn't run the Tennessee offense while he was there. In fact, didn't you guys get Jimmy Ray Stephens from us several years ago? He was a coach, not even a player, and Gator fans never made a stink about it. Bottom line is that I think Vol fans are playing this up to have an excuse if they lose, and I'm looking forward to hearing this on Saturday night early Sunday morning.

Good grief. The big story out of Knoxville last week was how Fulmer doesn't want to play LSU at night. This week it's how C.J. Leak gives Florida an advantages based on what he might or might not know. Smell fear?

Just go strap 'em up, beat both teams, and convince you deserve to be ranked #1.

    Robert,

If UT beats Florida on Saturday, will you still rank the Vols #15? I suppose if UT loses to Florida by 1 point on Saturday, you'll drop the Vols entirely out of the rankings. Your bias against UT is simply too overt for any of your comments to have any credibility.

CumberlandAve, are you illiterate? If not, show me where I voted Tennessee #15 in any poll, anywhere, anytime. A simple link will do just fine.

I've never in my life even voted in a poll that went down to 15. I only vote on the Fanblogs 14 poll here, and I don't have the Vols ranked 14th.

Since you either cannot read or will not tell the truth, go bother somebody else. Geez!

Vol fans really can't comment on threatening officials, we did the same thing when Gaffney caught the questionable touchdown at Neyland a few years back. Gatorfan brings up a good point in Jimmy Ray Stephens. I would be more threatened by a coach swapping sides than a non starting QB any day. As for myself, I don't need an excuse for losing to the Gators, if it happens it happens. God knows it won't be the first or last time. Any sane UT fan knows that out of UF, LSU, UGA and now even ND, we could lose all 4 games easily, or we possibly might win them all, that's the fun of it. What most of us are too stupid to realize is the media starts all this talk and idiots like us on our PC's keep it going!! But damn it's fun don't you agree?

Fellas, no need to fight! I live in the state of Florida and bleed ORANGE...At least you dont have to listen to all of the talking heads down here say that the gators should be favored by two touchdowns...
C'MON boys win one on saturday and show the rest of the country what everyone in Tennessee already knows.

Thankyou notamole for demonstrating that FL fans are not classless but can we keep this on football and not a favorite movie list discussion.
