Chris Leak's injured shoulder "good to go" for LSU
Despite a sprained throwing shoulder, Florida starting QB Chris Leak is expected to practice this week and start on Saturday when the Gators take on No. 10 LSU.
Apparently, mum was the word on Leak's condition last week, in the run up against Mississippi State, as the QB didn't throw a pass all week in practice.
More from the Florida Times-Union
Offensive coordinator Dan Mullen said Monday night that Leak, who barely practiced last week and needed a pain-killing injection to play against Mississippi State last Saturday, should have no lingering effects from the injury that coach Urban Meyer said he aggravated against Alabama on Oct. 1."Our report on him [from the training staff] is he's good to go [Tuesday]," Mullen said. "There's not going to be a limited number of throws [in practice]. He's going to be full go.
"The current injury he has won't affect him at all and [affect] his playing time this week."

Kinda sad to say it, but Florida might be better suited going with the new kid, Portis. While I don't think he's anything close to the kind of QB that Leak is, Portis is the better fit in Meyer's scheme.
With big games remaining against super-fast defenses (LSU, Georgia, & FSU), it's not a stretch to think Leak might not hold up to the punishment. If that does happen, it should not be a knock on him physically, but a major, albeit early, shortcoming in Urban Meyer's tenure.
