Gators sport new jerseys against Georgia
In a special, one-time promotional deal with Nike, the Florida Gators football team will wear a custom designed jersey for the annual matchup against Georgia.
The new jerseys feature one orange sleeve, which EDSBS says "look like something straight out of Breakin’."

While watching the BC-VT game, they said that Nike made some for VT, Miami, Oregon, Florida, and Southern California.
Looks like a bunch of broken left arms to me, but I for one like occasional spicing up of uniforms, wearing alternate colors every once in a while, and throwbacks for the sake of variation and tribute.
But then again, I like the Oregon Uniforms too, so make your opinions accordingly...

Regan,
But a flat out Nike promotions department thing for one game is a little too crass even for me.

Scary thought - since UF won in these, have we really seen the last of the "Sandtrooper" jerseys??

VT won in them too so who knows.
If Miami didn't have throwbacks this weekend I bet they would have worn them too. I heard Pete Carroll told them no thanks but I'm sure Oregon will wear them at some point.

The Nike uniform was a mistake. It illustrates the impact corporate (and university) greed have on amateur athletics. Spin it anyway you would like, but he bottom line is this went way over the line. OUR Gator identity cannot be bought...for any length of time or at any cost. I am ashamed of the decision our administrators made. It's a sad day for college athletics and the University of Florida.

Personally, I like VT’s jerseys. Florida’s jerseys didn’t work well because of the colors and the design is slightly different form Virginia Tech’s. Bright orange and bright blue doesn't contrast well. Any one who thinks that jersey colors win football games is an obtuse individual. Kudos to Nike for cleverly using an advertising strategy to promote their business. I strongly believe that if Nike were to design a similar jersey for Georgia, the idea would not appear or look as bad to some. The primary reason for this is because of UGA’s colors: Red, Black, and White. It would not yell for your attention like the bright orange sleeves, yet keep you interested in the simplistic design.
Georgia vs. Alabama is my pick (SEC Championship)
The SEC sends more teams to Bowl games and more players to the NFL than any other conference

I personally liked the jerseys for the Gators. Way better than the Baylor looking jerseys that Miami were forced to wear. Not to mention the Ugly Duckling Uniforms Oregon wears. Now those are both ridiculous. Va Tech definitely had the best ones, but the gators werent so bad. 1 win and 1 Georgia loss n UF is on the way to get revenge on LSU or Bama. By the way, where can you buy the nike special jerseys?
