Leak to return to Florida for senior year

QB Chris Leak is going to settle the debate - either he is the right quarterback to run Meyer's offense or he isn't. Whatever the answer may be, Leak will be back for his senior year to find out.

''I'll be back. I'm definitely coming back,'' said Leak.... ''This offense will work,'' Leak said. "We just have to keep working and keep getting better.''

Some have questioned whether Leak is a good fit in a spread option offense. Last year, Leak was the #1 QB in the conference. This season, Leak doesn't rank in the top three.

There's also been considerable debate as to whether Florida football coach Urban Meyer's offense will even work in the SEC. Meyer tinkered with the offense before the Georgia game, giving in to critics and using more pro-set formations.

    What needs to happen for the offense to work is, chris leak should have more oppurtunities to throw down the field. With the offense that is in place rite now, he is only getting 3 or 4 chances a game to throw 40 yards or further. 2 years ago w/ ed zaumbracher's offense they threw deep down the field about 10 times a game. That was when Leak was flourishing. Even last year w/ larry fedora's offense we threw down the field 8 or 9 times a game. Tim Brando said " Chris Leak is the best quarterback in the SEC." That was when quarterbacks like david greene and jason campbell were still in the league. What we need to do is focus on leak's strong points and throw the ball down the field! here we come tempe!

    Cris Leak may or may not be suited for Meyer's offense, but you'd be hard pressed to ever find a more classy guy than C.L. I'd rather find away to win with a guy like him than 99% of the rest of the choices. Thanks Chris for not giving up on your self and your coach like so many of the other FAKE Gators out there....GO GATORS!!

    chris leak has been a blessing to the gators ever since he arrived. i agree with everything he says.
