Wyatt Sexton in the hospital

A bad week for Florida State fans is getting worse. Websites and at least one TV news outfit in Tallahassee are reporting that Sexton was admitted to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital last night for "medical reasons" according to Sports Information Director Rob Wilson.

"Most of us have known Wyatt since he was born and our concern is for him right now." Wilson went on to note that coach Bobby Bowden was aware of the situation and would not comment immediately. Wilson also revealed that Sexton had been suspended from the team due to an unspecified rules violation. The suspension took affect on June 3rd and is indfinite in length.

According to WCTV CBS channel 6 in Tallahassee Wyatt Sexton was detained by Tallahassee police officers on Monday night after they received reports of a young man lying down in the street and jumping on top of parked cars, yelling at pedestrians. When police arrived the man had to be restrained and was later pepper-sprayed. Sexton also claimed to be God before identifying himself to officers. Police later said that they believed Sexton was under the influence of a narcotic when he was taken into custody by TPD officers. Under the provisions of Florida's Baker Act, Sexton was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for overnight observation in the Psych Ward, where he remains today. It is unclear at this point when Sexton may be released or reinstated.

    That is interesting that Sexton claimed he is "God". If Bowden would have known that at the time, he would have started Wyatt instead of Rix in the "2003 Rain Game" because he can actually walk on water.

    i think he was a little more than high, to have another personality or Hallucinate...you have got to be more than high. my guess is that it will go down like this. He was at a party, and someone put something in his drink, he does pre-trial intervention, and community service. AND stays on the football team. BUT much like Vick 2 at VT history will repeat itself and he will mess up agian.

    I think you'll find that his suspension and this incident are drug related (acid), but we'll have to wait another day or so for it to leak out.

    It turns out that Sexton isn't gawd, he's THE TICK and has been attacked by Lyme Disease.
