Florida State - Miami renew their Labor Day date

Despite suggestions to the contrary by both schools, it appears that the ACC has convinced the Florida State football team to square off with the Miami football team on Labor Day next season. Both the 'Noles and 'Canes had suggested that they would like to return to their October rivalry dates, but relented at the request of the ACC to play on ESPN in 2006.

"The dynamics now associated with playing this game on that date certainly give pause to any long-term commitments," Hart said in a statement. "However, we will be receptive to revisiting it as circumstances warrant that consideration."
