Nicholson named National Defensive Player of the Week
Florida State Seminoles linebacker A.J. Nicholson was named the Bronco Nagurski National Defensive Player of the week for his 2 interceptions and career-high 19 tackles in the 28-17 win over Boston College. 17 of the tackles were unassisted and the first interception was returned for a touchdown on the first play of the game. Nicholson is also now added to the watch list for the Bronco Nagurski Trophy.
The All-America Committee of the Football Writers Association of America names a national defensive player of the week on behalf of the Charlotte Touchdown Club and the Nagurski Trophy will be awarded December 5 in Charlotte.
