Richt's son offered by Clemson
John Richt, the 16-year old son of Georgia head coach Mark Richt, has received his first scholarship offer, from Clemson. The younger Richt is a rising junior who plays QB at Prince Avenue Christian in Athens.
The offer was made after a recent Clemson camp. The elder Richt made a call to Clemson's coaches and confirmed that the offer was a legitimate one and not just professional courtesy. The younger Richt is 6'2" and weighs 185 pounds.

Jeff Quinton,do you know anything about his stats so far?Is he a drop-back passer(pocket passer)or is he more of a scrambler?At 6'2" and 185 pounds at 16 years old that is good.He will probably grow another 2 inches or so from now to college.So they need to keep him in the weight room and eating steak and biscuits.When I was 16 I was 5'9.5".By the middle of my first year of SEC play I was right at 6' even.I'm out.HOLLA

rob ashley....if you read the clemson boards...most of the fans want to play georgia...it's a great rivalry. i don't think clemson is afraid of the sec. and they have a series scheduled to restart the rivalry again in 2013

Rob Ashley (#5):
Actually, Clemson and Georgia agreed to a home-and-home series for 2013 & 2014:

Clemson actually does have a poor win percentage vs. the SEC (0.281; 40-107-6), but we certainly don't fear the conference, having won seven of our last ten games vs. the SEC.
To be fair, most of those games were against our archrival USC, but either way, with the consistency of our wins against them, we are guaranteed to reverse the SEC victory percentage at some point in the distant future :)

The statement in question was made in jest :)
However, due to sheer boredom:
IF Clemson continues to win 70% of its games vs. SEC opponents;
Assuming Clemson plays 1.6 SEC games/year (Clemson has played 16 games against SEC teams in the past ten years);
Clemson’s decade win percentage vs. the SEC would be 11.2 – 4.8 (Rounded off),(For every 10 years, Clemson wins 11 SEC-team games for every 5 it loses)
Year Wins Losses
2006: 40 107
2016 51 112
2026 62 117
2036 73 122
2046 84 127
2056 95 132
2066 106 137
2076 117 142
2086 128 147
2096 139 152
2106 150 157
2116 161 162
2126 172 167IF all statistics held constant, Clemson would reverse its win percentage versus the SEC by the year 2126.
So, as I said, the statement was made in jest, as you are most certainly correct :)
...at least during our lifetime, LOL

What rivalry? Clemson's record versus UGA is 17-41-4. 9 of those 17 wins came before 1914. UGA does not fear Clemson in the least. We have worse records against teams like Pitt and Wake Forest. Sure bring them in for Homecoming.
