New Tech uniforms feature more YELLOW, less Jacket
Paul Johnson hinted that the Yellow Jackets would have new uniforms this fall and... I really wish he hadn't. What the Georgia Tech football team is passing off as a college football uniform is... not good.
See for yourselves....

So much ugly... so little time....
The new Under Armor Russell Athletics uniforms feature a really unfortunate shade of yellow, made all the more glaring by the most yellow pants this side of Ronald McDonald. The jerseys are passable. They manage to feature the obnoxious yellow and yet still hide it from the eye.
Doing away with the traditional, simple, block-lettered jerseys of old, Georgia Tech is stepping into the future this season, sporting a package of modern uniform designs that feature sharp, curving lines and stripes. At the top of the jersey, scripted in blue fabric are the words - in all caps - GEORGIA TECH. Underneath them, a thin blue line separates the words from the gold-trimmed blue numerals. On the sleeves are single, wide, gold stripes.
Senior defensive lineman Darryl Richard thought the uniforms played right into the theme of change that has begun to define this new season. With a new coach, new defensive coordinator and new offensive system, why not have new uniforms?
"It's something different. It's really going to put out a new image for Georgia Tech, but it still kind of keeps with the tradition here by staying with the white and gold," Richard said. "It will really help get some attention from recruits, that's for sure."
The players also wore a new set of gold pants with the bottoms featuring a pair of thin blue stripes that extend the length of the pants.
Losing to rival Georgia seven-straight times, Lewis hopes the uniforms can change the Yellow Jackets' luck with the Bulldogs.
"It's a little different look, but it's time for a change," said Lewis, wearing his new white No. 9 Tech jersey in honor of sophomore quarterback Josh Nesbitt. "I hope that we'll beat Georgia with this change."
HT: Regan... who nearly burned out my eyes with this
