You have to consider the fact that the conferences submitted former player/coach/administrator names, so at some level there is some method to the madness.

Asking Gerry DiNardo to provide an informed football opinion is akin to asking Dale Brown to cover the technical aspects of basketball.
For anyone unfamiliar with "Coach" Brown, just rest assured that he couldn't pick out an X or O from an alphabet chart.
WTF is Gerry DiNardo doing on this list?

Are you kidding me???? Lou Holtz???? Is it just me or is Lou Holtz out of his mind. Every time I watch him on these espen shows he is always calling a player by the wrong name and mixing up teams. How can he have a factor in this when hes not sure who is on what team????

I think there is a bigger problem here. How many of these voters are contractually obligated by different media groups and/or partnerships that have a financial stake in the BCS games? Will those who are on the ESPN payroll be obligated to vote a certin way? Are those employed by ABC obligated to vote for teams that could increase ratings over other(possibly even better)teams? I'm not sure the Harris Poll is going to solve any of the negative issues surrounding the BCS system.

Getting rid of the AP and replacing it with the Harris and its appointed members is an easy way for the BCS to get the teams it wants to play in the games it wants. (Read: Notre Dame) If the BCS were actually createrd in a way to make everything fair, then there would be no poll (opinion)aspect, only a computer formula that was fair to all

Did any of these voters actually watch any college football this past week?? I mean, Florida State plays a close one with Miami and wins, but remains 13 spots behind them, while Notre Dame puts up a terrible offensive performance and moves up 2 spots to #5, jumping past LSU and Virginia Tech, both of whom dominated and emptied their benches. What's up with this??

Ed ND did move down in their polls. As I have been stating Notre Dame is the most overrated program in college football, and they will lose multiple games this year. Don't worry about how high they are now, by the end of the year ND will not even be a top 25 team.

How can these guys follow college football closely enough (particularly on Saturdays) to be legitimate voters if they are ostensibly preparing for their gigs as the NFL premier analysts on Sundays?
