I did not recognize any names I know that are black. Does anyone recognize any black folks here?

Google is your friend, George. The voters are a relatively diverse bunch.

A better question: Why does race matter?

So these are (some of) the A**holes that stand in the way of a Playoff System, huh? How many of these d!cks would want to see a playoff in college football, er, how many are hypocrites.

What happens to the "BCS system" if everyone involved in the process (ei, these Voters) Boycott the BCS and DONT VOTE. Same question goes out to those Coaches who ~say~ they want a playoff system BUT still submit a vote.

The AP atleast had the *@#!# to get out of the BCS.

Given that the Harris Poll and Coaches poll are basically the same, I would rather see the human vs computer weighting get changed to 50-50.

    So Cal USMC (#4):

Not to start a war or anything, bud, but I am among the hated ranks of the anti-playoff crowd.

I was a big fan of the BCS for a long time for the simple logic that stood for years:

Go undefeated in a major conference and you play for the Title. Lose once, and you threw your championship aspirations to the winds of fate. Lose twice, and you're out.

I had no sympathy for the Trojans in '03, as per this logic. The Cal loss put their aspirations in the hands of fate - and it said 'no'. I had a great deal of respect for Trojan WR Mike Williams that year because he pointed out that their predicament was of their own making due to that loss to Cal. Props to the kid; hope he's doing well in the NFL...

In '04, when undefeated SEC Champ Auburn was denied a chance to play for the Title, even I had to withdraw my support for the BCS. The last thing I want to see, though, is for College Football to just become the "NFL Light", which is what I am certain would happen if a playoff came about...

Agree to disagree on the issue, So Cal USMC, but be aware that the Playoff Crowd doesn't represent everyone in the CF community.
