Perrilloux suspended indefinitely for busting into casino
LSU QB Ryan Perrilloux has been suspended indefinitely after being busted for passing a fake ID in an attempt to get into the Hollywood Casino in Baton Rouge.
Perrilloux was cited for one count of misrepresentation to gain access and released, said Baton Rouge Police Cpl. L’Jean McKneely said. Police were called to the casino about 5 p.m. Saturday by the boat’s security guards, McKneely said.
Perrilloux presented his brother's ID to prove that he was at least 21.
After getting caught by casino security, it's rumored that he threw down the "don't you know who I am?" line. Obviously the guards did, Ryan, otherwise they wouldn't have busted ya!

well, well, well maybe the Hokies have a better chance in Baton Rouge now!!! Hahaha I think the mosquitos have just sucked the life out of the LSU 2007 season. I'll bet Les is more Miles pulls a few strings and gets him out of jail before football season starts!!! Who agrees?

He will have to sit out the Miss State game and that's it! LSU can still mop-up State, but he will be reinstated for Va Tech. No Doubt about that. If Flynn goes down then Va Tech wins outright without Perrilloux. Les Miles might take that chance...but I doubt it. With the Va Tech defense...putting in a 3rd string QB instead of the 2nd string QB would be suicide! Really, no other way to put it!
Who is the LSU 3rd string QB anyway? Is this really all that serious anyway? I mean, Cmon. It's not like he jacked somebody for their ride or kicked some ass or anything. Let's be real. People do that kinda thing all the time. It just so happens he is a College QB.

In my honest opinion, the guy has issues...He got enabled like all great high school players do, but then got onto campus and got mixed up in an illegal counterfeiting ring with his brothers, and now this...
How can he be expected to make the right decisions on the field when he's continually showed a penchant for the wrong ones off the field?
He leaves LSU in a precarious situation in terms of depth as well...After Ryan, we had two scout squad arms in Welker and a kid I can't even recall his name (Which is bad for me), and then Jarrett Lee, who while admittedly was one of the best quarterbacks to come out of Texas last year, probably isn't ready for an SEC offense...
Unfortunately, if you ask me, Perrilloux just iced any chance for starting out of any other necessity other than injury for the year. If Flynn stays healthy, Ryan's penance is the pine...
He'll be disallowed to work with the team, whether it be offseason workouts or running, the S&C program, or the "voluntary 7-on-7 drills" that are anything but voluntary in the SEC...But, he'll be eligible if he can once and for all prove he can stay out of the headlines for the wrong reasons and be a good citizen.
I think it hurts Ryan far more than it hurts LSU, and I'm speaking in terms of a developmental standpoint. If he were going to make a push for playing time this year, he needed to get his timing and rhythm down, and this offseason would've been the best time for him to work with the receivers considered 1st string.
Now, he can't even run and lift, and he's under the microscope...
All in all, its a lose/lose situation for all involved, but I honestly don't feel like it's a problem for the program as a whole, nor a statement about Les Miles.

T-Mac Post 7, I couldn't agree with you more. By reading the headline you would think he broke in there and raided the place ina stick up fashion. However, he still has a pattern that needs to be addressed before it's too late.

C-DOGG, the US government didn't ban online gambling. They only banned transfering money from a bank to an online gaming site. There is a huge misconseption that the law banned online gambling; however, if you read the law it doesn't talk about this. There are plenty of ways to get money into an online account, that you are allowed to gamble with.

The last line should read there are plenty of legal ways to get money into an online account, that you are allowed to gamble with. I was in the middle of a poker hand and did not proof-read my post before clicking to have it posted.

Let's put this into perspective. He wasn't driving drunk. He didn't run down anyone with his car. He didn't break into someone's house. He wasn't caught shop-lifting, or worse. He didn't shoot a gun, let alone shoot anyone. No, he "MISREPRESENTED" himself, as his older brother. That's rich. I wonder which is worse, being careless with a car, or proving you just can't be trusted? He probably never thought of that, but then, he's just a kid. I agree with you, E of T. His stupidity may have lost him the opportunity of a lifetime. The kid needs to grow up before it's too late.

Tampa Hurricane,
Correct me if I'm wrong but.......isn't the acceptance of money online the HEART of online gaming companies?? I don't gamble online, just on my trips to Vegas, so please educate me.
BTW....if Bodog CEO Calvin Ayre(Forbes Magazine Billionaire coverboy March 27, 2006) doesn't taunt the US government about his tax evasion skills, the government would have not stepped in. Google the article Tampa, it's pretty interesting.

C-DOGG, have you read the bill that was passed that so many people incorrectly are stating was a bill that banned online gaming? It makes it illegal for a US bank to send the money to a gaming site. Most of the sites that have a good legal department read the bill and it was easy for them to find the huge loopholes that were left open. As an example, at pokerstars.com, they will notify you of different ways to legally fund your account with them. Some of these ways are as simple as sending them a money order from a non-bank (i.e. Western Union, Amsouth, etc.), or using an authorized online payment processing center to place a charge on your credit card that can then be transferred to your account. The way the law was written makes all of these legal. You could not use a service like neteller that instantly transfers money from your credit card to the online site in one step, it must be multiple steps like the funding of an account then the transfering to another account. One of the other reasons that the government stepped in is they realized how much in taxes they were losing out on due to online gaming. There was a bill being discussed the clearly stated online poker was legal, and they would tax it just like you were playing at a casino.
