LSU postpones Troy game, Tiger Stadium damaged

Gustav spared New Orleans but damaged much of Baton Rogue. Early reports suggested that broken glass and debris presented a safety issue at Tiger Stadium. Damage to the scoreboard and the fences around the facility were also reported. Electrical damage had not been assessed due to the wide spread power outages.

Les Miles indicated that this was more significant than Katrina for many LSU players, as seeing the damage first hand in familiar surroundings is far more impacting than TV coverage of utter destruction just down the road.

It comes as no surprise that LSU postponed the Troy game to the common bye of November 15th.

This give LSU 7 weeks in a row with a game in the thick of SEC conference games. 8 if they go to the SEC Championship.

P.S. Are you OK Tiger Educated? How are things where you are at?
