LSU vs. Alabama: A rhyme...
I had tried and failed to start my magnum opus for this year on Fanblogs...
In the past 24 hours, I've probably stopped and rewritten it no less than a half dozen times...I just can't do a good job expressing myself...
This morning, on my home site, I found this, and with a tad bit of "poetic license", and some rearrangement here and there, I submit it here for you all...
Twas the night before 'Bama, and all through the state
The coonass ditchdiggers are all stirring, really feeling the hate.
The urine bags were filled with much care,
in the hope that Ole Nick would soon be here.
The fans will all be standing in the aisle,
Hating the little prick for his lying style.
When out of the tunnel arose such a clatter,
All Tiger fans rose & began to spit & spatter,
Everyone in harmony, they began to rail,
"Hey you lying prick, go straight to hell!"
Our shovels are sharpened, our anger rises through,
As urine bags are tossed, we yell, "Hey Nick, this is for you!"
But with his usual sly crap eating grin
Nick just called out to his mighty girlymen
"Come Cody, come Ingram, come Coffee & John Parker, too!
Let's stick a nail in the coffin of LSU!"
And in a twinkling, I heard such a commotion,
92,000+ Cajuns arose with such great emotion.
Les lead the Tigers into their night's work,
Filled with hate & anger for that Crimson jerk.
For this night we will reveal Bama's worst dread
Nick is just a lying prick, and worst of all,
THE BEAR IS STILL DEAD!
And as the Tiger Faithful leave for their house,
The Bama nation again grows quieter than a mouse.
For the Tigers wave in triumph after the fight,
"TO HELL WITH ALABAMA & NICK SABAN, & TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!"
I will let Bama_Babe post her prediction here...But there will be no prediction forthcoming here...
