Marshall hires Snyder

Marshall hired Mark Snyder as their head coach yesterday. Snyder has been the defensive coordinator at Ohio State. Snyder received a five-year contract and will replace Bob Pruett, who retired last month.

Snyder followed Buckeye head coach Jim Tressel to OSU from Youngstown State(of IAA's Gateway Conference.) He also previously coached at Minnesota and Central Florida. His contract to coach the Thundering Herd will pay him a base salary of $144,200 with incentives giving him the possibility of $478,000.
