Ferentz will not be the next Michigan coach

The Michigan Rivals site - The Wolverine.com - is reporting that Kirk Ferentz will not be the next head coach at Michigan, citing a source they consider second only to Ferentz himself.

The Rivals site does confirm previous reports from MGoBlog that back-channel talks had taken place between Michigan and Ferentz, but nothing formal has transpired and will not.

What does that mean for Michigan? Well, let's just say that Les Miles may be in tears, again.

The LSU situation is spiraling into crazy on our site right now...

I did just see a link in an Alabama Online Newspaper's section where they just broke that Tuberville's agreed in principle on a 7 year extension at Auburn...

    OU-Ron,

You could always ask me to e-mail you...I just don't want to put some of this stuff on a public site...

For starters, it's because you can probably only believe about 10% of it...

Second, I don't want to get in hot water if someone I know sees this here and knows how it got here, before they tell me it's okay to talk about it...

I do get your point, this stuff is far too silly to seem so cloak and dagger...

    ESPN is reporting:

LSU athletic director Skip Bertman confirmed Wednesday night through spokesman Herb Vincent that his Michigan counterpart, Bill Martin, has officially requested permission to speak with Les Miles about becoming the next coach of the Wolverines.

Bertman requested that the meeting not take place until after LSU plays Tennessee Saturday for the SEC championship. Martin told Bertman he will comply.

LSU will have its own meeting with Miles next week to make its pitch to keep Miles. Sources say Miles will be offered a sweetened deal.

I hope that TE can hold up under the strain.
