Spartans QB eating 11 Big Macs day
They don't call it the Big 10 for nothing.
Michigan State QB Brian Hoyer is looking to bulk up before the Spartans season starts, so he's put himself on the "see-food" diet - if he sees food, he eats it.
I'm trying to take in 6,000 calories a day," said Hoyer, who was listed at 6-foot-2, 212 pounds during the spring. "It's hard to keep up with eating that much food. You always feel like you're stuffed."
6,000 calories a day?! That's roughly the equivalent of 11 Big Macs every day - or one Big Mac every couple hours.
Of course, Hoyer claims he's not eating 11 Big Macs a day.
"I have to try to eat every two hours. When I wake up in the morning, I try to eat a pretty big breakfast. After I lift, I'll eat a protein bar or some fruit. After we run, I'll have a pretty big lunch. I get a rotisserie chicken and eat the whole thing and some pasta. For dinner, I'll have some pasta with fish or two chicken breasts. Before bed, I drink a protein shake."Sometimes you don't really feel like it, but you've got to force yourself to eat."
With the right exercise, this COULD help Hoyer bulk up... or he could end up resembling a certain college football coach whose name we won't mention right now (Mark Mangino).
Back to reality, it's a great idea for Hoyer to bulk up. At his size (6'2", 212), he's a pretty lean target for the Big 10 defenses, and the Spartans don't have just a whole lot of depth behind him. The last few seasons of Spartan OLs have delivered more than a few sack lunches for their QBs.
Eat all the Big Macs you want, I say. A little extra junk in the trunk will provide a soft cushion if the line doesn't improve it's bull-fighter blocking tendancy.
Ole!

Well, for those of you who were still looking for the answer to that age old question, "Where's the beef?"...
The word on him is he's a decent kid. I hope he does the Spartans proud this year. (That is, except for when Pitt comes to town.)

Bah...
That's nothing...
Tim Tebow has been deep in the unexplored Himalayan Tibet mountains training since the end of the of the BCS champ game...
Spending his mornings stiff arming his way through stampeding 100,000 head wild yak herds at full sprint then cutting back through them only to wrestle each and every one to the gound to quell the rampaging horde of hoof, horn and fur when he has decided to break for lunch...
He then dines on a whole yeti that was killed, skinned and cleaned with his pinky toe clipping and bare hands then cooked from a stern look and wrinkle from Tim's eyebrow...
His afternoon routine consisits of carrying 2 ton boulders on his back while he jogs to coastal China and back in time for a dinner of two whole yetis from the source as lunch...
After dinner, Tebow practices throwing hurling 200 pound stones over and through surrounding mountain ranges and picking off mountain goats from over three miles away...
He then blinks and starts all over again as a blink of an eye is all the rest he needs...

Bunch of dorks here that can't read past the headlines. The kid is eating a lot and fills full usually. Didn't see any nasty Macs on the list, clever headline writer makes news. Fish? Pasta? Fruit? There is a nutritionist advising I'll bet.
