Michael Cooper transfers to S.C. State

Running back Michael Cooper has reportedly transferred from Georgia to South Carolina State. State head coach Buddy Pough confirms talking to Cooper while Cooper was not available for comment.

James Lee, an offensive lineman at UGA, also recently transferred to S.C. State.

Former South Carolina running back Demetris Summers could also wind up playing for Pough if he completes the academic requirements needed to transfer. Summers was kicked off the Gamecocks' team by head coach Steve Spurrier, reportedly after failing a second drug test.
