Minny getting new new "M"
The legendary Sid Hartman of WCCO radio and the Minneapolis Star Tribune notes that the University of Minnesota football team will sport a new helmet design this year, the first updated design since about 1999.
Minnesota, who has dabbled with M's of all shapes and sizes over the years, will have a larger "M" on the helmets than they have in the recent past.
Other than that, there are no plans to change the Gophers football uniforms for the upcoming season.

They need to totally makeover their uniforms and not just the helmets. Let say Gold and Black similar to Texas Tech's Red and Black. Mentally it will help the players give them more attitude. I never believed that before I saw the NFL's Tampa Bay Bucs turn their franchise around after changing jerseys & helmets.

They can change, upgrade, downgrade, shrink, enlarge, or do any other damned thing they want to that 'M', it still won't help them a way to beat the big 'W' that's on their schedule every year. We own title deed to that axe, and that's all there is to it.

Best logo in College Football is the "O" on the side of the Ducks GREEN helmets...although I like the Motion "W" on the side of Wisconsin's helmets too...seeing that I was born and raised in the great state of Wisconsin. Ya, sure, ya betcha, as we midwesterners are prone to say. I couldn't possibly care less what the Golden Gophers do with their logo.

#3 before going off on someone else perhaps USC and LA should do some soul searching. Ya bunch of corrupt sick people!!! I wonder if a USC player was vomiting blood he would get the same treatment that poor lady did at MLK??? ONLY IN LA!!! USC sucks as bad as LA does!!!

OR St re-vamps their logo; the next thing you know is Rutgers gets a new "R"; MI St gets new uniforms; NC St tells Nevada to get a new logo; and the GG's decide let's join in on the fun. Just remember; it can't look like MI's, MI St's, MS St's, Ole Miss', or MO's, or they'll all cry fowl. (That thar's a chicken joke.)
