Croom putting together great MSU season
One of my favorite FanHousers, Ryan Ferguson, has a great post on the remarkable job that Sly Croom is doing at Mississippi State - historically one of the toughest places to find success in the SEC.
Stop the presses: Mississippi State has a 2-game win streak over Bama and Croom is 1-0 against the highest paid coach in the sport.Although their 17-12 win over Saban's Tide wasn't pretty, it was a win against one of college football's most storied programs.
Following a hard-fought win over Alabama this weekend, the Bulldogs now boast wins over three ranked teams (Auburn, Kentucky, and Alabama), put down a good UAB team, and looked strong in losses to ranked Tennessee and South Carolina.
And don't look now, but Croom has Mississippi State bowl-eligible for the first time since 2000 and threatening to shake up the SEC bowl picture, as a more attractive selection than even Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks.
Ferguson commends Croom for not compromising during his tenure at MSU.
Winning at Mississippi State might be the toughest job in the SEC, and in his third year Sylvester Croom has produced. Croom is a good man doing things the right way....
Indeed.

Someboday tell Sly to get the chip off his shoulder.
ATL-ien #1, not sure, but you might need to lay off the sauce since the last part of your post makes no sense. "O-6 against any SEC team named the bulldogs if you count TROY and UAB." Last I checked neither Troy State or UAB were in the SEC and go by the mascots Trojans and Blazers respectively.

Yall are still on that "croomed" bullshit?...So if we beat Arkansas are they going to be "croomed" also? Or what about Ole Miss, when we beat them are yall going to say that Orgeron got "croomed" this year? I think that yall need to WAKE UP and see that we actually have a decent football team this year and that "croomed" statement loses its meaning each week!
HAIL STATE

T-Mac couldn't agree more Kev.
T-Mac thinks it has a nice ring to it.
Lighten up a little Cowbell05.
At least Sly Croom is there now.
Geez, Jackie Sherrill could still be there.
Who would you rather play for?
Croom or Sherrill?
Considering what Croom inherited, he is doing a good job.
Kev, what about the Croomburger???
Cowbell05, you are bowl eligible brother!
State really needs to go out and represent at whatever bowl they go to.
The fans need to travel.

T-Mac I couldn't agree with you more man...we definitely should travel...and I think that when we are a decent team we do travel pretty well...its not that i'm mad about the "croomed" thing, hell im happy that people talk about it but i just think its disrespectful to Sly, and it is old. But yeah I think it would be pretty cool if we made a T-shirt out of it..."Croomed...who's next?" or something like that.

Nickname the stadium the Croom Patch...

The mighty Alabama Dark Red Tide and War Chicken Auburn Tigers have a combined 0-4 record against any team named the bulldogs in the SEC.
I guess bulldogs just don't like teams from the state of Alabama.
ps. Teams from the state of Alabama are a combined 0-6 against any SEC team named the bulldogs if you count TROY and UAB
