New college football helmets for 2005

Courtesy of The Helmet Project, here's a look at the new college football helmet designs for 2005.

Indiana Kansas
 
Pitt South Carolina
 
Syracuse 

It's been reported that Utah will be returning to the traditional red helmet this year, but I haven't seen a photo and the Helmet Project doesn't have it updated just yet. If there are any that I've missed, please let me know.

    I can't figure Kansas out. Mangino comes in and they change the uniforms to navy which makes absolutely no sense with respect to the schools actual colors of royal blue and crimson, and now they decide to become the New York Giants by adding gray to the royal blue. Just be Kansas. That aside, thumbs up for pretty much all of the changes above.

    On the new NCAA Football 06 game UAB is sporting new white helmets.

    Yep, I have emailed UAB twice to see if they are changing to white helmets.

    i played at kings point a couple of years ago and the helments had interlocking KP on the side instead of an american flag

    The new helments look cool. My favorite is the Cincinnati.

    What happened to Pittsburg not wanting to be refered to "Pitt" anymore? I guess they gave up on that. At least they didn't go back to the mustard yellow helmets. Isn't that a giants helmet with a KU on it instead of a NY?

    Pitt will eventually go back to the old style mustard yellow helmets with Pitt script. There's a groundswell of sentiment in the Panther community for Pitt to go back to its traditional royal blue and gold colors.

    KU has always been Giants West, back when the Giants had the "GIANTS" logo on the helmet, KU had "KANSAS"
    with the exception of Manginos first couple of years and the 70's KU has alway copied NY, and it sucks cause the Giants uniforms have got to be the ugliest in the NFL, hell they make CINCIs look good.
