Stamps.com now offering college stamps

Does the water department know just how much you love your team? I bet they don't, but they can now, as Stamps.com has unveiled a collegiate line of stamps just for the football fan. So far, there are 41 teams represented, with more on the way. Check 'em out.

"We are very excited about the collegiate PhotoStamps initiative from Stamps.com," said David Kirkpatrick, Vice President of Non-Apparel Marketing for The Collegiate Licensing Company. "The artwork on the PhotoStamps looks terrific, and we are confident that college fans and alumni will gravitate to this unique concept."

At launch, collegiate PhotoStamps will be available for the following 41 U.S. colleges and universities: Auburn University, Boston College, Georgetown University, Gonzaga University, Kansas State University, Louisiana State University, Marquette University, Marshall University, Northwestern State University, Oklahoma State University, Oregon State University, Pepperdine University, Providence College, St. John's University, Texas Tech University, Tulane University, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Military Academy (Army), University of Alabama, University of Miami, University of Arizona, University of Arkansas, University of Colorado, University of Georgia, University of Illinois, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, University of Maryland, University of Massachusetts, University of Memphis, University of Michigan, University of Missouri, University of Nebraska, University of North Carolina, University of Rhode Island, University of South Carolina, University of Tennessee, University of Texas at Austin, University of Washington, Villanova University and Washington State University. Additional schools are expected to be available soon.

A portion of the proceeds from each collegiate PhotoStamps order will go to benefit each individual school through the licensing program. If a school is not yet participating, consumers can contact their college or university and ask them to join this Stamps.com program through the school’s licensing organization.

On-line banking. They pay for your stamps. Save your money and buy a new bong. Go Beavs. Start Canfield. Fire Riley. Hire Erickson.

Anything from stamps.com is overpriced. They're a giant ripoff and I'd never do business with them. They also offer personalized photo stamps that are roughly as expensive as these.

USC's not included (not surprising since they limit a lot of their licensing, and like a lot of internal control along with that) so I don't really care about buying these too much. I'll just continue go to the stamp window at my local post office and pick out the nicest ones I can find for face value, for when I mail a letter to family or friends.

    FYI, I'm a stockholder in Stamps.com.

Product/Service is very efficient, prices are cheap compared to a meter from Pitney Bowes, and I got through to customer service 5 minutes ago in less than 30 seconds...could have cancelled my account immediately, but who wants to go to the post office and stand in line?

BTW - the PhotoStamps make a very useable, personalized, and appreciated wedding gift. Its all we do now for wedding presents...usually use the couple's engagement picture.
