hmmm that's funny i doubt that miss st., or auburn would call it the big easy. or for that matter even kentucky which barely beat louisville by 6 points. i wouldn't go around knocking the conference/team that beat your conference's champion last time they met in the sugar bowl.

#3,
I'm pretty sure he was talking about New Orleans being the Big Easy. On another note, I'd kinda like to see Florida get at least to #12 in the BCS. I realize it probably won't lead to a BCS berth unless Georgia loses in the SEC championship game, but it still would be nice

Oh I'm not cocky....I'm just confident. Besides, it's not every year this kind of chance is within grasp. I'm purely speaking from an optimistic point of view.
You're right, UCONN is no joke. We will have to play error free football against UCONN at Mountaineer Field in order to get the "W". I have to admit....the way we've been letting teams back in the game late is making me a bit nervous. I guess you could say that: It's taking "YEERS" of of my life.;)Lets Gooooooooooooo Mountaineers! Lets Gooooooooooooo Mountaineers!

The losses at the top of the polls may have opened a door for Hawaii (who needed a field goal with 11 seconds left to come from behind against underdog Nevada).
The Warriors are in the Top 15 now, which makes them eligible as an at-large selection, but not an automatic qualifier.
One or two losses ahead of UH probably won't get the 'Bows to #12 (even with a win over Boise), but it could get interesting if we see 4+ losses at the top.

WVU-togo: Well... If Missouri beats Kansas this weekend, they will leapfrog you in the polls on Sunday--count on it.
Then they go on to play in the B12 CG, and the opponent may not necesarily be Oklahoma at this point; if they win, they stay ahead of you.
So you need Mizzo to lose one here soon, or LSU to.
Of course, this is to say nothing about a possible leapfrog of you by Ohio State, which could happen.
Unfortunately for WV, that vaulted Big East schedule is somewhat holding them back...

It’s great to see this sudden rash of enthusiasm on the part of my fellow Mountaineers, now that WVU is back in the Top-5. Though, in truth, I honestly see them more as a lower Top-10 team; just my opinion.
That having been said, I disagree with they’re being currently ranked above MO. I know this may come as a shock to my fellow Mountaineers, but lets put things into perspective. MO has one loss: They lost at, then, Top-10 ranked OK. Likewise, WVU has one loss. But, their loss was at, then, 18th ranked S FL. OK has since sustained a 2nd loss; S FL already has 3 losses. Fair is fair; and I think (again, my opinion) MO is being undercut a bit.
Of course, it’ll be moot whether or not MO wins this weekend. If they do, they will be ranked higher than WVU. If they do not, and it’s a close game or one that goes into OT, they'll drop, though they may not fall out of the Top-10.
The point is, while there are a number of favorites out there, It's still anybody's championship. KS could win this weekend, and follow that with a win over OK in the Big 12 Championship. MO could win in Lawrence, then beat OK themselves. Either could win, only to loose to OK. LSU could loose in the SEC Championship. WVU could loose, or play poorly again, making a solid case for OSU or ASU. If ever a case could be made for waiting for the "Fat Lady" this is it, guys.
This season like many a game not only is one big wacky surprise, like many a game, it's coming down to the wire, and it will not reveal it's champions until it's damn good an ready. So, buckle up kiddies. Just when you thought the ride was over, the best is yet to come. Enjoy!!!
(Gotta admit, though, the Big Easy winning in the Big Easy; it's gotta ring to it.)

Very real possibility that Texas plays for the Big 12 Championship. With the rash of injuries that OU has suffered - there is the real possibility that they can't get past the Pokes. Of course, Texas better make sure that they solely concentrate on A&M, or else they'll find themselves knocked out of this scenario. Either way, I just want to see that Kansas or Missouri has to go through one of the great Big 12 programs before they start talkin' Championships. Should one of these two teams take out Oklahoma or Texas - I have no problem with one of them playing for the National Championship. If everything goes strangely enough - maybe the Horns at (11-2) could gain strong consideration.
