Conference Championship Game Matchups set
While absolutely nothing is clear in the BCS championship picture, at least several of the conference championship games are set....
ACC: Boston College vs Virginia Tech
SEC: LSU vs Tennessee
Big XII: Oklahoma vs Missouri

I am sure of this. You forgot some:
Missouri 40 Illinois 34
Missouri 38 Mississippi 25
Iowa State 15 Iowa 13
Nebraska 20 Wake Forest 17
Oklahoma 51 Miami (FL) 13
Texas 34 TCU 13
Texas A&M 47 Fresno State 45Of the five teams that you showed losing an out of conference game, one of them is in the top half of the Big XII. Wow, other schools can beat the bottom half of the Big XII. Of the Big XII opponents I picked, five of them are in the top half of their conference (counting teams at the middle spot of a conference with an odd number of teams). Who cares if you can only beat the bottom half of the conferenc?

I left those out to try and save you some face. Other than the Oklahoma win (is Miami a good team to you?), the Texas win over TCU and the Missouri win, is an average win of five points all that great against this competition (Ol' Miss, Iowa, WF and Fresno). The point is: Missouri and Kansas were able to pretty much duck Texas and only Missouri had to play Oklahoma (they will lose again). The conference's best wins were by Oklahoma and Texas - as usual. Considering the eight losses that I listed, which were by 128 points (or 16 ppg), it is much more substantial than the wins (12 ppg) that were against weak competition to begin with. The Big 12 is down this year. Missouri will lose two more games and Kansas will lose one more.

Tommie, how can you get an accurate view of the conference looking only at the teams in the bottom half of the conference like you did? Besides, the score doesn't matter for anything but style points. A win is a win. Show me, from one of the four top teams in the conference, a bad loss to an out of conference opponent. To help you, they were all undefeated. You can make any conference look bad if you only look at the bottom of it (the Big 10 and SEC won't look as bad because all but one team is bowl eligible). If you find the average record for the Big XII from their OOC record, I'm pretty sure it averages to over 3 wins. You can just look at the bottom half of the conference if you want to, but it's a waste of time.

Missouri already talking junk about how they "gave the game to" Oklahoma. If I am not mistaken TURNOVERS are caused not given. I think Missouri is going to get beat bad! When will teams/coaches stop making excuses or down playing loses? Leslie Miles made a silly comment that LSU should still play in the National Title game cause no team has beat them in regulation? What the (edit)? LSU fans tell Leslie that a loss is a loss regardless if it is in regulation or overtime! Geez, get your butt on to Ann Harbor, (EDIT)!

You ought to check in a little more my friend. I've been pissed off since Sunday that Oklahoma isn't playin' for all the marbles. I think they are the best team in the country. I'm also pissed that Kansas is in instead of Missouri. You got a problem with that? What are you mad about? Because I called for Missouri to beat Kansas and for Oklahoma to beat Missouri? Is that all you got? Who put the Big 12 down? All I've ever said is that Kansas had never played anyone. When they finally did (Missouri) they lost. Now, the only thing I'm upset about is that Missouri has beaten both Illinois and Kansas and is left out of the BCS. Say what? And what is Illinois in for anyway?
Your the "ultimate homer", Tomcat. I could care less about the Pac-10 or if any of those teams get into Bowl games. I'm not a "conference guy". I dig the Trojans. I hope every Pac-10 team loses their Bowl games so that we can outrecruit every single team. You want to cheer your whole conference, fine, just leave me out of all that "homer" crap. If you think the Pac sucks this year - your probably right. I'm glad that they did so that we can play in the Rose Bowl again. Am I happy that we got some crappy Illinois team to hammer on? No way!Tommie Trojan

Your right. Notre Dame did beat both Stanford and UCLA. And, I could care less. The thing is is that Notre Dame is on our schedule every year. They are just like a conference opponent. I hope that all of em' lose every game. The good news is that the Trojans hammered Notre Dame 38-0 and that's all I care about. You go back to being a "homer" and I'll call em' as I see them. Is the Pac-10 down this year? Yes they are! Across the board the PAC is down. Oregon was lookin' great, but without Dixon, they are just a fair team. Cal blows, UCLA blows, ASU is pretty good, Oregon State is Oregon State - it's all about the same just as with any conference.

I'll be shocked if Arizona State can get past Texas. Texas is usually a very good Bowl team and Mack Brown is always prepared. Arizona State had a fine year - but I don't think that they will be able to deal with the talent that Texas will have all over the field. I'll take Texas in this one.
