**TE's Thoughts: Personally, I'm amazed at the respect shown to LSU, moving down a total two spots in one poll that counts (USA Today Coach's), none in the one that doesn't (Associated Press Media), & actually moving up in the one that counts the most (The BCS). All this after a 9 point loss, which, regardless of the officiating hijinks, Vegas nailed on the head.
Iowa tumbles after tempting fate a time too many. Where do they go from here? They've lost their top RB, & their top QB. They might not have a lot left in the tank, so to speak.
The Harris, AP, & Coaches all expect us to suspend reality and act as if the Oregon beatdown of Southern California didn't happen 8 days ago. Each of them have the Trojans ranked higher than the Ducks after Oregon took the L in a wild one out in Palo Alto. I guess the big 14-9 victory over now 4-5 Arizona State was impressive enough to move the Trojans up in the Harris, Coaches & Associated Press Polls.
All in all, after yesterday's College Football FBS Division's National Quarterfinal between LSU & Alabama, the Florida Gators & Crimson Tide of Alabama now seem on a collision course in the SEC Championship Game, otherwise known as the FBS Division's National Semifinal Game. The winner to face the Texas Longhorns for all the marbles.
