North Carolina-South Carolina game pitched

The Charlotte Regional Sports Commission has been pitching a game between North Carolina and South Carolina in Charlotte for the past few years. Officials at the two schools, especially South Carolina, prefer a home-and-home series between the Tarheels and Gamecocks. The Charlotte proposal now includes a 3-year contract with one game in Charlotte and the other two in Chapel Hill and Columbia.

The earliest the game would probably be played at any location would be the 2007 season.
