Tar Heels and Gamecocks to play in '07 and '10

North Carolina and South Carolina will renew their series for the first time since 1991 when they play on October 13, 2007 at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill. The return engagement will take place on September 18, 2010 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. The Tar Heels won the last game and also lead the series 34-16-4.

Previous discussions about the possibility included proposals for a game or games in Charlotte but the two schools all along wanted it to be strictly a home-and-home series.

The USC Gamecoks would be better off in ACC!

They have a losing record against most current ACC teams including the ones from their last time in the ACC (and they left the ACC then over higher academic standards.) Besides, the Clemson game would become even more important than it already is for USC fans which would make it that much of a bigger heartbreak year in and year out for Gamecock Nation.
