Starting DE leaves Irish
In an exceptionally short press release --just three sentances-- Notre Dame has confirmed that junior DE Ron Talley has left the Irish for "mutual" reasons. Nothing more is coming out of Notre Dame until Weiss's presser on Monday, presumably.
The Blue-Gray Sky links to a statement Talley gave the South Bend Tribune, but there's little red meat there, either.
"I went to class this morning," Talley told The Tribune via cell phone. "I had a 15-minute meeting with coach Weis this afternoon. We went over a couple of things, and at the end both parties decided it was best to go ahead and split."
From his extended statement, Talley intends to finish the semester in South Bend and then transfer, but doesn't have a destination just yet. Talley's from Michigan, but it's unclear what eligibility --if any-- he would have at a DIA school.

Why don't all you N.D. haters just kiss our A$$. We may not play for the national championship every year,we may not win every game, but we don't back away from any team either.Check the Sagarin strength of schedule every year.At least we don't schedule a national championship. (Ohio vs Bowling Green)( Texas vs SAM HOUSTON ST.) and when will W.Va. ever play anyone????????

I heard that they were pulling out "the Green Jersey's" for the game at Annapolis. Coach Weiss thinks that this may get them the edge that they need in order to win this game. Anyway, it has inspired them in all the other "Big Games" that they've had to use them. Never under estimate the leprochan!
