Tony Samuel to interview at Southeast Missouri

Purdue defensive ends coach (and former New Mexico State head coach) Tony Samuel will interview this week for the vacant head coaching position at Southeast Missouri State. He seeks to replace Tim Billings, who resigned last month.

Samuel (bio) led NMSU from 1997 through 2004, compiling a 34-57 mark. Prior to his tenure there, Samuel was an assistant for 10 years at his alma mater, Nebraska, under Tom Osborne. During that time, the Huskers won 2 national titles and 7 Big 8/12 championships.

Missouri Western State head coach Jerry Partridge will also interview this week. Washburn (KS) head coach Craig Schurig has already interviewed at Southeast.
